The food was so bad that when we were eating at the Japanese restaurant and smoke was coming off the grill, the fan apparently didn't work, and the chef was "banging on pans" and serving up huge chunks of cauliflower?? in the fried rice, my husband and I kept waiting for Ashton Kutcher to come in and tell us we were being punked! If you want to go on a 7 day fruit and toast diet this is a perfect destination. We ended up checking out after 2 days and moved to the Hard Rock which we loved and the food was great there as well as the atmosphere, service and location!!!!!

Wonderful grounds, plenty of activities and personable staff. The beds, pillows and bathroom layout leaves you with a less than 5 star experience but all the rest more than makes up for it. Francisco and Elvin in the Supreme Buffet made my kids feel at home every day and were so helpful. Perfecto at the pool bar makes perfecto drinks and Tupac and the animation team worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had a fantastic time.

Recommend Canopy Zipline for A+ safety standards, adventure boogies for dune buggies and Segway ecotour.

We tried all the restaurants except Le Gourmet. Japanese teppanaki was tasty but no "show" like you would expect if you have been to or heard of Beninhana's. Not worth the hassle and hype of reserving.

The steakhouse was ok, seafood(other side of beach restaurant) was better but believe it or not the buffet was the best for selection and fresh carving station and grill- same was true for lunch. We got tired of the same burgers/dogs at the beach and headed to the main buffet for lunch --wish we would have dongs covered that earlier in the week.

We like to try different resorts and countries so not sure we would be back but we recommend you go and the majestic will not disappoint you.

Majestic Colonial is a very nice hotel, the room, food and staff are great. Tony & Leo were the best bartenders and really took care of us all week. The 7 restaurants on the property were all quite good with our favoutire being the Palapa near the beach for breakfast and dinners of staek & Fish.
The beach is white sand and you can walk for several miles, very safe.
We were there for a friends wedding on the beach which turned out very well, a very different experience.

Wow. Hands down the best vacation my boyfriend and I have ever taken. The resort is so gorgeous! The pool and the beach are kept so clean. The staff was all happy, helpful and welcoming...especially Victor, our favorite bartender at the pool bar. Our room was a little musty smelling but it's the Caribbean and it's humid so who cares...plus we didn't spend much time in the room because the pool and beach were awesome! Can't wait to go back!
