“Most amazing trip ever!”

My husband and I went for our honeymoon from Jan 20 - Feb 3, 2012. We had two friends join us from Jan 26 - Feb 2, 2012. I need to preface that I wasn't looking forward to going this long. I am a homebody and wanted to stay home. But I am so glad I went.

Best part of the trip: STAR FRIENDS: the entertainers. they were amazing and so funny. They made us feel like we were at home there. I definitely recommend that you get to know them. Their evening shows that are interactive with the audience are hilarious! Star Friends made the trip for us. We loved Julio, Fernando, Raul, Joanna, Jensy, Evelyn, Luis, Cocote, Naomi, Melvin.... They have so much energy!
Hotel check in: Very quick, staff very pleasant!
Room: very nice! I enjoyed the bungalow stle much better than a hotel style. Segunda was our housekeeper and she was very quick and efficient.
Buffet restaurant: Amazing, there was always so much to choose from. Juan Carlo and Mariel were usually our servers and they were very personable and quick. We usually sat in their section. We hit 'Jambalaya' - service was great, food was okay, and the mediterranean restaurant. I don't recommend this one. Food was icky, service good. I didn't eat my meal and went to the buffet restaurant to eat, which was always amazing.
Pool: staff at the swim up bar are very keen and get to know your drink in a very short period of time. Staff at the pool restaurant are very pleasant - always singing while they are serving.

Disappointing moment: by the time i remembered to check in with guest services about some items i left around the resort - I don't think Joseph the staff I originally spoke with believed me - because i waited too many days to check. He said he would check and get back to me. We were leaving that day so a couple of hours later I went back and spoke to a female at guest services - she brought me to the lost and found right away and i found both my items!!! Yeah females (i wish i got her name) - Joseph sucked. I recommend checking with lost and found right away - Joseph may believe you then.

Room Tip: Our friends who came in a week after us, tipped the check in clerk $10 to get a room closer to us :)

We, my mom, sister and myself arrived at Bavaro on Feb1 - 8, and it was nothing less than perfect. From the moment we landed until the minute we took back off for home! This resort is top notch and I have stayed in many all inclusives in Mexico and Jamaica and I will go back here in a hearbeat.....as a matter of fact we are all planning our trip here with our families for next year at the same time. The staff there is wonderful, very nice and very accomadating. Our room was clean, well stocked and no bugs :-). We did asked for extra water in our room everyday but it was no problem to get it at all. The food at the buffets were great and good variety for someone that would be a picky eater. I can't believe that I am saying this but I honestly think that I am sick of sea food. Losbster, shrimp, mussels at every meal and prepared different ways. We loved the different themed nights on the buffet. We also ate at two of the specialties, Japanese - excellent, and French - excellent. Reservations for both were made for us from Carlos the head waiter over all of the dining there.....sooooo nice! Beach -- OMG.....GREAT. Plenty of chairs for the sunners and plenty of shady areas for the non sunners and you didnt have to get there at the crack of dawn. Just a side note.....the hotel was booked...actually overbooked as some people were upgraded to the Grand Bavara and we saw them later in the week and they said it was nice, but after staying in the Bavara before wished they would have not taken the upgrade. We also spoke to many people that stayed in other hotels in Punta Cana and even the other Iberostars in Punta Cana and all said that there were just okay...biggest complaint was there food. I also could not get over how many people we met staying there that had been staying there dor 10+ years...that says allot. After dinner every night we headed to the lobby bar where everyone even families with children hung out and it was sooo fun. The shows were fun and some silly but entertaining non the less. Drinks for all tastes! Feb 8th our departure day came way way to fast.......I shed tears as I told many of the workers and new friends we made goodbye. So many new friends from all over the world which was such a cool experience. Lots of people from Argentina....soo nice!
I can honestly say this was a PERFECT trip.....not one complaint. If I could give them more stars I would. Iberostar Bavaro......you got it right! Dont Change ANYTHING. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year. CHOW!

Had a 5 Day stay at this beautiful all inclusive resort in Punta Cana...the food..beach, pool service and most of all the Golf ..Fantastic.

The staff was helpful at every step along the way...The golf course was well groomed and beautiful...several tees which ment it was friendly for all skill levels. They pick you up at the front desk and bring you back after your round. Lots of entertainment at the hotel..fantastic food in the buffet..or in the restaurants if you choose. I would recommend this family friendly resort for everyone.

From our first impression of the lobby to the incredibly friendly staff, size of resort and immaculate rooms all was amazing. The food, the pool, pool bars, ocean, temperature, breezes, drinks. Everything was perfect. We would have stayed longer if we could have, but found our 3 nights to be relaxing, fun and just perfect. Thank you.

We returned Feb. 8 from the IB, we travel alot and decided to re-visit after being here about 8 years ago.
It was even nicer that we remembered! Beautiful beach, you can walk forever, lots of palapas in the shade anytime of day. Pool palapas were reserved early but not a problem because we were there for the beach!
Buffets were good, service in our experience was excellent! We had 3 a la cartes (Japanese, Steakhouse and Gourmet) and had no issue booking them.
Our room was in the first row but not facing the beach. King bed, flat screen tv, great air conditioning and lots of water, pop and beer stocked daily. Everything was clean and fresh.
I liked the drinks, the regular tropical stuff always tastes good under a palapa in front of the beautiful blue ocean! Really..how can you complain about that?
All in all a great time. The staff was friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with.
We did tip but I don't feel this influenced the manner in which we were dealt with.
We definitely would return! Thank you Iberostar Bavaro!!
