I would agree with a lot of the other reviews in saying that this place is MASSIVE!! My husband and I just returned from a weeks stay at the hard rock with friends that are members and have been there more then a few times. I have to say that checking in was a disaster and we were put into the "kids" side of a presidential suite (2 double beds) and so unfortunately we ended up having to stay in that room for a night, which really wasn't a big deal.... but i guess if your a member this isn't suppose to happen! Needless to say we were put into much better rooms the next day. The only other thing was the fact that booking our excursions took 2 days!!! It was a very long process and very frustrating! Most people were saying it was taking an average of about 4 hours (if you sat there) and this was happening because they were having a lot of computer issues, but other then that it was a prefect week!
Beds are AMAZING!! take it from someone who cannot wake in a bed that's not my own without lower back aches. Rooms are fantastic, food was great in every place we ate. The only bad food experience was the 4 cheese penne at the Italian. It was under cooked and the sauce tasted like it came out of a can. We've been to a few 5 stars in Mexico and can honestly say the food was WAY better here. I loved how the main building was like a mall and has food everywhere and coffee at any time... and good coffee too! If you don't like to spend a lot of money on your trip, this isn't the place for you. The casino is a little addicting and this is coming from someone who really has only experienced a few times at the slots and you would have found me at the black jack table by night 5 LOL!! It was a lot of fun though!
All in all the pools were great, each one of them. we preferred the Sax Pool and the service there was FANTASTIC! Its a small pool but was close to our room and fairly quiet. We did go to the main pools too and service there was a little slow but there were also a ton of people so cant really blame them. Main pools are definitely more lively! Shows were great but not anything over the top, I did enjoy them though and the break dancers they have for a few of their shows are amazing and the circus show is out of this world!! A lot of people have said in there reviews that the Eden Pool is best.... it is more comfortable as they have beds and hammocks, but for us we felt like we should be 75 instead of 35 to fit in there.
Great place and would recommend to others to try out and would go back in a heart beat!
Shout out to Darling and Fernando in Member Services, who were AMAZING, thank you for making our stay so much better!! and Ramon at the Toro (best waiter). Thank you Hard Rock for a Rockin Vacation!!
