We spent 7 days in a ocean view suite. The hotels and grounds are even better in person than in the pictures. Our room was very nice and always clean and restocked, turn town service is a nice touch(water on nitestand,low lights on and bed turned down ready for you). The archetecture of this resort is 2nd to none. Take a walk and see all the options for roooms and private villas. The beach is small but you can walk to the public beach on the otherside of the fortress and get some walking in. Both beaches are deserted ,perfect if you are looking for qiet relaxing times. Food is unbelievable for an AI. The Blue Marlin is a favorite for food and location. All resraunts were top notch(did not try the Wok) The staff are fantastic and always asking if you need anything. Thanks to Wendy and Anselmo for all their info and just fun conversations. Anselmo makes the Best Mojito's. Danny was everywhere always with a smile and if wanted a drink. Raul runs a fantastic group of waiters in all restraunts he work in. Also names we can't remember are the food and beverage manager who we spent time talking to and it shows they are continually trying to improve and the person from Salem that was at the front desk. Sanctuary is a fantastice place for rest , relaxation and a top notch vacation!

I went there in November for my best friend's wedding. It was extrordinary! The hospitality was great, all of the people that worked there were polite, charming, and fun! It has a small feel, but it's huge! The whole wedding party could find each other easily, and there was always something to do. The entertainment staff was great, and you really felt like you knew them by the end of the stay. The wedding was absolutely incredible. It was like a movie. The natural scenery was awesome, of course, but the hotel also made it perfect.

If you're thinking of having your friends and family come anywhere for a wedding, this is the spot!!!

We just returned from a five day stay at this resort. From the time we arrived until our much dreaded departure we were treated like royalty. The resort is absolutely spectacular! This was by far the most relaxing and tranquil vacation I have ever had. We stayed in the Castle section and loved the private,romantic atmosphere. The staff is so friendly, I wish I could remember all their names. Yissel the concierge went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met. The views were stunning and the restaurants were perfect for a romantic evening. My husband and I have stressful jobs and were looking for a resort that would provide a much needed break from reality - we found it at Sanctuary Cap Cana. Thank you for sharing your wonderful country with us! We will definitely be coming back!

Our experience for a 3 day stay was realy nice with 3 exceptions:
1) Not everything they said at the front desk is included, like lobster, for example
2) The tipping process is confusing
3) They told us at the front desk that we could have late check out for $80, and at the end, the front desk manager change the rate to $120
