“Bargain and still good!”

We very rarely go back to the same place twice with so many places to see and experience in the world.
We first went to Mambo in 2008 and when it came up again at a great price we wondered why? Reading feedback on here and finding out about the closure and refurbs etc we wondered if we should risk it. We were glad we did. It was just as good as the first time. Maybe we are just laid back Brits but we had no complaints at all. Rooms, food, service and facilities all good and in our case for the price we paid top value for money. Sure they could still do with investing more money, for example the gym but on the whole it was obvious they had been trying by renewing seats, loungers and other fixtures and fittings. Everything seemed in a good state of repair around the place.
The main reason we went back was the variety of having three hotels to aim for when it came to eating and sunbathing and yet we spoke to people who had not moved from the one they checked in at.....unbelievable!!!
Wether it is able to survive the economic pressure only time will tell but If it came up again in a couple of years time I would seriously consider it again which would be a serious change for us, only Moon Palace has ever been given the consideration of a third visit!!!

“Very pleasant and relaxing”

I have just returned from a two week holiday at this resort. It was amazing from all aspects - all staff were extremely pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, you had an enormous variety of food which was of very good quality, the layout of the resort complex is excellent and the lit pathways between hotels make it very easy walking. The weather was gorgeous, the beach is virtually on your doorstep and the area surrounded by palm trees - thus giving you a choice of sun or shade. Excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will most certainly be going back in the future

“Second trip to Riu Mamo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

This year we stayed 10 days We had more time to relax and enjoy the resort. we took a day trip to Sosua.. Rented a taxi and driver arranged through the Apple Representative. We saw the Historical Jewish Synagogue and museum where refugees from the 1940's had settled. It was fascinating. There was a beautiful memorial to the Jewish settlers in the middle of the city. We really enjoyed the day.

The Riu Mambo again offered a variety of tasty dishes for every meal and if you wanted something that wasn't on the menu, they would fix it for you. We loved the beach and the staff.

“A very enjoyable holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

All the staff at this resort where fantastic, from chambermaids to management nothing was to much trouble for them. My wife and I went from 10 January to the 26 and sun was scorching, went on many excursions, the dune buggies where you really do get muddy was brill if you like getting down and dirty. Also the megga truck experiance is also a must. If you go to watch Bravissimo I genuinly reccomend this show it was fabulous it was like being in Vegas. We plan on going again. The food was also great with plenty of choice.

Room Tip: All the rooms are very good but found the beds a little hard.
