We drove to Santo Domingo from Puerta Plata and had a little trouble finding the Malecon but directions from a police officer put us on the right path. Easy parking in lot. Hotel lobby was nice and staff were helpful. Room was total typical Hilton, great bed, clean room and fabulous view of the sea..

Noise in the morning on the Malecon but expect that would be the same in all hotels along there.

Bar was good with great apps. Free wifi. Restaurant was okay.

Pool is on roof with good view and lots of chairs. Small bar as well.

ATM in lobby.

Malecon is interesting and you can walk to Zona Colonial - longer walk though.

Hilton Honours staff booked us a city tour that was great!

Good hotel = would stay again.

I stayed at the Hilton Santo Domingo from January 14-16th, I was really impressed with this hotel. I travel often to Santo Domingo and I've stayed at the Centenario on a few occasions, but I would have to say that the Hilton takes the crown. The service is impeccable, the staff is very professional and they always make you feel welcomed all the time.

It's a very big, modern, safe, comfortable, clean hotel. The check in process was fast and not to even mention the check out where the night before you depart, hotel staff leaves the bill under the door so you can review it, and the next day when you leave you don't have to go all the way down to the lobby to check out, instead get off at the 5th floor and leave your key and receipt at a box provided, this of course is if you have your own car.

I stayed in an oceanview room with a huge window, nice soft king bed, a nice flat screen tv, cable but I don't know if I couldn't find the pay per view movies or the hotel does not offer pay per view movies. The air conditioner worked all the time, the room was clean, it always smelled nice and of course there are the basic things that a hotel room includes, mini bar, safe, iron board, etc

I ordered room service a few times and I do have to say that it can be a bit pricey ordering a few times since the hotel adds a few fees to the food, the food itself is not bad, the prices are well as you know hotel prices for example a bottle of water will cost you $3.00 and a can of soda can go for as much as $2.00

One of the features that I really liked about this hotel was the 5th floor parking, it has direct access to the hotel, sometimes you will find hotel security but rarely it will be left unattended, but there is always security in the parking lot. There is no charge for parking and there is always plenty of it.

I believe the hotel has about 23 floors I stayed on the 14th with a great view, the hotel has 3 elevators with a nice view towards the inside of the hotel. The gym is clean, very spacious, has about 2 t.v. sets, a water cooler and it can get a bit chilly with the air conditioner. Overall I will definitely go back to the Hilton and spend more time there whenever I head back to Santo Domingo.

Right on the Sea front, the Hilton is next to most of the leading hotels in Santo Domingo and fairly close to the colonial district.

The rooms are very nice, but surprisingly we were with friends who were upgraded to the executive floor but had smaller rooms.

Beds are of excellent quality and the breakfast really good. The swimming pool is nice for such an hotel but don't expect the size of a resort style pool. Gym is well equipped and I staid in it for 1 hour with 6 kids and the staff remained very nice despite the noise that they were making.

Check-in was a bit slow as we were asking for connecting rooms (that we didn't get) but they did their best to give us side by side rooms.

This is a typical business hotel but spending 1 night with kids was actually a very enjoyable experience.

What a surprise to find a Hotel, in a small and reasonably poor country, that really provides excellent service and Value for money. Great stay, i travel a lot and very impressed.
staff friendly and speak great english.
food was good and reasonably priced.
Not to Far from airport.
Ocean Views.ATM in Foyer.
Hotel Cars ready to hire with driver at only US$15 per hour.
I can strongly recommend this hotel.
