“Excellent choice for vacation or business stay”

Very happy we stayed here for our 3+ weeks on Dominica while working/playing. Owners/managers Janet and Keith are very pleasant and extraordinarily helpful, really helping to set the Titiwi apart from other nearby accommodation options. Excellent choice for families or groups, even for solo traveler or a couple. Kitchen gave us much more freedom to plan our activities (scuba diving, whale-watching, fishing, hiking, etc.) as we wished, rather than having to set things up around restaurant hours, etc.

“Two thumbs up for Titiwi Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2010

Titiwi Inn was one of the highlights of our trip to Dominica. It was clean, affordable and within walking distance to all the activities of interest, aside from hiking excursions. The owners, Keith and J, made us feel completely at home and served as a wonderful resource to our many questions. Our room was spacious, had a private bathroom, air-conditioning and a balcony that overlooked the ocean. Aside from breakfast, we didn’t eat at the inn much so I can’t offer many comments on the quality of the meals, but certainly heard no complaints from the other patrons. I thought the prices were more than reasonable, but do keep in mind there is a fee for meals, drinks and other services like laundry or touring the island.

Since we had never stayed at a guesthouse before, my wife and I were slightly nervous. However, once Keith greeted us at the door, our fears evaporated. He took us in, introduced us to his wife, offered us a drink, showed us around and explained the meals and amenities. I actually found staying at a guest house to be better than staying at a hotel, not only because of the lower prices, but because it provided us with access to two knowledgeable and friendly locals who knew the highlights of the island. Since we're divers, he worked with the best dive shop on the island, AlDive, and arranged to have us picked up on dive days. When we wanted to explore the island and do some light hiking, he drove us around for three to four hours for the fair price of $35 per person. When we wanted to do some more strenuous hiking, he offered to help us find a guide (guides are a requirement on the island for tourists).

If you are like us and have never stayed at a guesthouse before, I would compare staying at Titiwi Inn to staying with a friend, who may or may not have some other friends over at the time. For us, it couldn't have been more perfect!

“Great Value, Great People”

The Titiwi felt very much like a European-style guesthouse. It is located just outside of Roseau. We stayed there for two nights. It is a great location if you are looking to go snorkeling or scuba diving or head up into the Roseau valley to see waterfalls. Janet and Keith (the owners) were very friendly and extremely helpful. The bed we slept on was the most comfortable one we found during our stay in Dominica. We stayed at some much more expensive places in Dominica, but the Titiwi was my favorite. I highly recommend. The service there was excellent.

“Will definitely stay here again!”

I took a group of eight to Dominica this month, and Titiwi Inn was recommended by Billy and Samantha Lawrence of Aldive. I'd recommend Titiwi Inn to anyone traveling to Dominica!

Titiwi is a guest house, not a hotel, and this is a very good thing. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. There are six rooms, and the Inn can accommodate approximately 13 people max. The top floor is an "apartment", with a balcony in front and back, a living and dining area, and a large kitchen, so you could make meals yourself if you chose.

But there's no need! Janet and Keith own and run Titiwi Inn. They are very gracious hosts, and Janet is an excellent chef! The bottom floor of the Inn has been renovated into a large kitchen, an office area, a large living area with a TV, a good sized dining area, and even a small pool table! Outside, there is plenty of room to sit and relax by the pool. The entire property is on the ocean, so you can enjoy beautiful sunsets on the water while enjoying a rum punch.

Keith, ever the gracious host, ran us into town if we asked, and even took some of my group on a tour of some of the local waterfalls.

You can buy a package that includes continental breakfast and dinner, and the price can't be beat! Titiwi Inn is the best value I've found on Dominica. Check it out!

“Great and cosy place”

Great place to stay if you don't mind being a little outside the centre of Roseau. Nice rooms, great hosts, good price, enjoyed the free breakfast. Nice swimming pool and great sea view.
Fine location at max 10 minutes by minibus (passing every few minutes or so) to the centre of Roseau and max 20 minutes the other way to Soufriere.
Good whalewatching tours available from the nearby Anchorage hotel within 5 minutes walking distance from Titiwi Inn.
