My husband and I stayed here as we went for shopping/relaxtion. The staff at the Hotel were the best. Especially the front desk staff, they helped us with everything, even calling us at the room when the bus was ready to leave. If you are an outdoor person and looking for cheap accommodation this is the place, as the Hotel is not luxurious enought for you to stay indoors that much.

The restaurant food was a bit overpriced. My only problem was the amount of noise coming fromt he restaurant in the wee hours of the morning, as they would have late entertainment. But after saving all that money by staying int his hotel and can do some excellent shopping downtown. If I am going to the island again for shopping, I would definitely stay here for a relaxing holiday definitely somewhere else.

Trupial Inn, Curacao.
The Casino is in the middle of the Complex. It closes at 4am. The people leaving are very noisy and
they will wake you up.
The music at poolside plays late, so you cannot go to sleep early for your early morning tours.
The quietest rooms are near the entrance.
The rooms are not sound proof. You can hear you neighbors too easily. The adjoining doors are not
sound proof. I was woken up many times in the night.
If you don't have a car it is a $15. taxi ride to town.

I took my daughter on a trip last August and we stayed at the Trupial Inn hotel. It was probably the worst vacation we had ever had. The legs on the beds in the room were uneven so the beds kept rocking from side to side.
Getting information from the Front Desk Agents was like a chore as they treated us like we were bothering them.
To get downtown took like about 15-20 minutes and this was a "trip" as the shuttle ran only twice per day from the hotel and the bus was was so small passengers had to huddle together just to fit.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I can't believe I had such a terrible vacation. Every thing was bad including the rooms, food & casino. FYI - THIS IS NOT A HOTEL BUT MORE OF A MOTEL. You can drive your car up to the room. There were a lot of local people around and we have seen many hookers using the hotel for there services. I would defiantly not recommend you this one!
