we stayed there for one week and we had great spacious room looking the ocean, and it is close to the center you can walk to the movies. they were doing renovations and that was a bit of noise but not too much.

We did not stay at the hotel but went to the Veneto Casino there everyday during our vacation in Curacao. We felt it was the best of all the casino's on the island. The slots were looser. The penny machines kept us entertained for hours and we usually broke out even or ahead. The smoke wasn't too bad as it seemed better ventilated than the other casino's. The air conditioning was nice and cold too. The beverage's such as soda were complimentary and in the evening the beer was too, and they were served on a frequent basis. The ease of putting dollars right into the slots was far better than having to put money on a card with a chip as was required at two of the other casino's. We signed up for a players card and earned a few points which we were able to convert to slot dollars.
One of the reasons we liked the Veneto so much was the hospitality of the staff. We felt that the casino hostess Shakoen was probably one of the nicest casino staff we've ever encountered in our travels. She made us feel like we were really welcomed there. Can't say that for the other casino's. We will be back there the next time we vacation in Curacao.

This hotel really blows! Spent approximately 4 months at this crap hole, feed every mosquito on the island and put up with Very very bad service from the hotel staff. I think it killed my soul. Can't wait to go back :)

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and it gets worse every time. The beds are old and lumpy along with the pillows. The sheets are worn and stained, the bathrooms are a joke! Dirty, old, low pressure, sometimes you get scalding hot water, sometimes freezing cold, there is mold and ants in almost every room. The staff, for the most part, is terrible. Sometimes you will run across a good one, sometimes. The "Tanga Bar" is a little restaurant bar, the staff there is great, service is slow and the food, meh. There is a Denny's attached to the hotel, and well, it's a Denny's. Not like the states though, one day you'll get what you ordered, next day you won't. And they don't care. The pool is disgusting, I wouldn't even go in it. The beach is okay, but the entire hotel is a local haven, so it's always very crowded. The gym is a joke, not a lot to begin with and most is broken. The casino is okay, but I would go to the Renaissance up the street. The location is pretty good though; about a 5 minute walk to town and the cruise port. There are lots of shops, restaurants, a casino and a movie theatre there that are pretty nice.
