“Affordable Luxury”

We generally choose a beach all-in resort for holidays, but were intrigued with the location and facilities at this hotel and were very pleased with the value. Loved being able to walk through the city, and did that every day. Yet also felt so peaceful and relaxed by the manmade infinity pool beach. It was very entertaining to watch the boat and cruise ship traffic.
The room was spotless, the bed oh so comfy, and such easy connection to the real world with a good size TV and in-room internet access, although we chose the free WiFi available in the lobby or Espresso cafe or at the beach grill.
No complaints about the food. Had 2 meals on the beach under the stars, but our favourite was the Tenderloin at CRU Steakhouse.
As a group of 8 we rented a van for 2 days. Toured the west end of the island with its rugged landscapes and gorgeous beaches on our own the first day, Then we hired a local Tourism student for a personalized tour of the city and the east side on the 2nd day. His name is Brualio and you can find him working at the CRU Steakhouse. He provided information about the island and its history and answered our multitude of questions about Curacao while escorting us to old forts and amazing lookout points.
Overall we found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and quiet. We are not casino people, but it was easily avoided, except for the smokey smell that it shared with the lobby in the evenings.
We found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating with our favourites being
dushie Maraiza, Stephanie and Jennifer at the pool grill, Alex(?) with his ever warm Bon Bini at the door, and of course Braulio with his professional service and witty personality at CRU.
Danke all !

“A Great Hotel & Casino !”

We are a Foreign couple retired in the Caribbean and travelling around overhere and in South America. In 11/2011 we have spent 10 days at the Renaissance Curaçao (ocean view, all inclusive) and enjoyed it very much indeed. This hotel offers great services, excellent restaurants (4) and delicious food. The pools, the beach as well as the location are just great. We can recommend it to any visitor from any country. The prices are expensive but worth it. Out of 10 Points we give 9,5. What has to be made better is the friendlyness of the staff serving in the restaurants - they do not allways show much interest in their clients/work. Otherwise everything is perfect and we will go back to The Mariott Renaissance Hotel, Curaçao very soon.

Room Tip: Ocean View - 3rd floor (expensive but worth it)

“Comfy room and great location”

As a solo female traveler, this hotel is conveniently located in a great location (Rif Fort) that felt safe and has some good places to eat nearby. Easy 10 minute walk along the river to cross Queen Emma bridge in reaching the other district - Punda. High-end shopping is conveniently on the ground level. The staff was very friendly and gave me tips about going out at night. Bed is clean and super comfortable. No beach access, but the infinity pool is not bad. Also not too fond of the smoking on the first floor where the casino is, but I couldn't smell anything in the room so that's not a big deal.

If you want access to a real Caribbean beach, choose another hotel. If you want great room with great location, consider this hotel.

“Fantastic”

I read many reviews before we left and was concerned. Well do not be concerned. The hotel was fantastic, employes friendly and very helpful, infinity pool spectacular and endless food. We were on an all inclusive which is the way to go as curaçao is very expensive. The variety in the restaurants is great. We ate on the beach 5 nights out of 7 and the manager up there was great. Having the cruise ships come in was interesting and made people watching fun. You can walk to Punda where there is great shopping. We never had a problem with not enough towels except on our last day and when I asked for more they delivered to our room very promptly. I would highly recommend this hotel and location

“Great Infinity Beach Near Everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We had a great time staying here. This location is perfect for walking to absolutely everything in town. Located in a converted old fort with an incredible infinity beach and pool there are great shopping and dining all around. Very nice new place in town. If you are expecting a natural sandy beach where you can walk into the ocean you should be aware that this property is on the ocean, but it is rocky and you don't have direct access, so they created their own inifity beach with a salt-water sand bottom pool and fresh water pool. It is incredible! We would highly recommend this place for anyone. We had a seaside balcony room, which was very relaxing to enjoy watching sunsets from the balcony.

Room Tip: Make sure you get an external facing room. Some of them have internal facing windows where they ove...
