“Depends what you want”

I have read some reviews here at Tripadvisor and I have been to Limestone. But To be honest there are better places to stay on the island. The staff wasn't helpfull at all, but those were not the owners.
When we asked for a restaurant or for some shopping, they couldn't help us.

About the rooms, it's all a bit oldies. The is a tv with DVD player, shower (don't put it to hard, you don't have hot water), aircon, fan, big fridge and a kitchen. You would say, wow that for all that money and youre right, but it's all a bit worn with age. Which is a shame, because when all is clean mainted better , I believe it's a really nice place to stay.

Also when I see the pictures which are posted here, that wasn't the condition we have seen it. Rubbish all over the place and the swimming pool was full with leafs and other kinds of rubbish.

“A 5 - HEART accomodation that met our needs perfectly!!”

If you are looking for 5 stars, maybe you should pass. But if clean, safe, friendly and everything you need at a reasonable price is what you are looking for, THIS is the place for you!! I would not hesitate to reccomend Limestone Holiday to any of my friends, except Richie, because Sarah has to have things "just so" and nothing short of the Hilton is going to satisfy her.

The grounds are great, the rooms are just what we needed, all of the appliances were in order, and the bed was comfortable. Everything is kept neat and tidy, the cleaning services were every other day, certainly beyond the services back here in Michigan! The car that came with the rental was great for getting us around, it was neat, clean and everything worked. We used the ciggy lighter to power an ipod and phone with gps.

I can't say enough about the people who own and those who work there. I can only describe it as like being invited to a nice aunt and uncle's place that just happens to be in a tropical paradise. Every morning we were greeted with a cheery and mellodic "Good Morning" from Silvia and ran into Roel tinkering around the grounds. The girls in the office were as helpful as can be and our maid could not have been more accomodating.

My wife and I have agreed, if we ever go back to Curacao, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. I pity the fools wasting their money elsewhere, this is one of the best values we have ever experienced. If you are looking for a place that's like staying with family, this is it!

“A perfect relaxing holiday”

This is a perfect place to stay. Limestone Holiday resort is a complex with about 12 apartments. It's beautiful place with lots of flowers, a small beach, playground for our children and a swimmingpool. We stayed here for two weeks with our friends and had a very pleasant time. The apartments are absolutely clean and well equiped. From our appartment we had a beautifull view over the water and the 'Tafelberg'. The owners, Roel and Sylvia, are very helpfull to arrange baby beds and car seats without extra costs. They own a lot of cars wich you can rent for a very good rate.

“Limestone Holiday - Friendly, Relaxing and Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

If you are looking for great value and want to avoid the beaten path on a trip to Curacao, Limestone Holiday is for you. My wife and I just spent ten gorgeous days in this quaint, family run "hotel". We had breakfast every morning outside on our private patio where we were warmly greeted on occasion by the owners, Silvia and Roel as they tended to various chores around the grounds. We took day trips to many of the local beaches and, on most evenings, ate in some fine nearby restaurants (Boathouse, Braakeput Mei Mei and Espetada). The swimming pool was just steps away from our apartment and we spent many hours sunning ourselves either pool side or shore side on the little private beach. We recommend renting the inflatable dinghy one afternoon and motoring over to the exclusive Hyatt resort where you can tie up (for free) and enjoy the Hyatt's beautiful private beach (Barbara Beach). The grounds of the Limestone facility are impeccably clean and as it is a fenced compound with gated access, we always felt safe and secure. We went for the included car rental which gave us the flexibility to explore the island. We had a Suzuki Ignes (economy version), but next time we will definitely go for one of the larger vehicles (Jeep, Terious). There was nothing wrong with the Ignes but since driving on Curacao seems to be a contact sport and definitely not for the feint of heart, a little more steel and maybe an airbag or two would be a welcome addition and well worth a few additional bucks. All in all, this is a great place to stay to enjoy a first-rate Caribbean experience. We will stay here again and would highly recommend it for couples and for families looking for great value.

Room Tip: We stayed in Apartment #3. It was quiet as it is situated under the owners patio.

“A perfect family place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2011

Compared to massive holiday resorts elsewhere, Limestone Apartments is a lush cosy and relaxing tropical place. We were there with all the family, includung a baby, in two appartments, with all we needed. The owners are very friendly and helpful. At our request they had arranged a baby bed, chair and car seat, without any extra charge. The place has a great view and was very quiet, as only some apartments were occupied.
We really enjoyed our stay and will keep Limestone in mind for the next occasion
