“Quiet beautiful resort location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We are owners of Royal Resorts properties in Cancun and Playa del Carmen and rented this timeshare through Royal Resorts. The rooms are modeled and furnished like The Royal Sands in Cancun. There are only 30 villas with 2 swimming pools (with some cabanas with padded chairs), a small beach facing a logoon, and next to the Aquarium, that has dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, flamingos, rays, and caribbean fish of all kinds; admission is free when you stay here. There is a very good on-site Italian restaurant, Augusto's. There is a free shuttle into Wilemstad and to the grocery store. Resort activities are limited, but appropriate. There is a large dive shop and dive boats across the lagoon.
The resort is very quiet and most owners know each other.
There is daily towel and garbage service and only twice weekly cleaning.
All villa locations are good.

“Another great experience”

Stayed at the Royal Sea Aquarium for the 3rd time Jan. 14-21 2012. Had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on the 3rd floor overlooking the Sea Aquarium and ocean so what is not to like. Very clean, very friendly, everything went as it should. Quiet place perfect for those of us in our 50's and 60's but night life for the teenagers is just a short walk away. Never a problem finding a place at the pool or beach. Great snorkling along the outside of the rock wall also.

The area the resort is in is well developed. There are other hotels, restaurants and beaches. It is also only a short drive to downtown.
The resort itself has private beach. It is ok but the nearby beaches are pretty. The aquarium itself is enjoyable, especially for kids, but adults also. I love walking past the sea-lions every time I go to the resort.
The rooms are well maintained. I stayed at the resort when it was newer so I can definitely see it has aged. But is has done so graciously.

“12-12-2011 curacao royal sea aquarium resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

My wife and I vacationed in Dec. 2011 at the royal sea aquarium resort in Curacao. The resort was hard to find from the airport. The resort is very clean and the staff is friendly, probably the best place on the island. The rental cars are in good to poor condition and the people that are at the rental booths need an education in customer service. This was like visiting a third world country. we flew in on the Miami early flight and was I glad, it was 2 hours to find the resort, very poor signage on the island. Grocery stores are very different and expensive. restaurants are fine, store clerks and grocery store attendents are not friendly. They are supposed to get 1 inch of rain a year , I think it rained 2 inches the week we were on the island. We got caught in a flash flood and the toy car I had almost turned into a submarine, ( thought i had bought it ) had to wait for the water to drain off althought they don't have any drainage. i had an excellant water front condo that I could not sit out in the morning and have my coffee as the bugs will bite you up and leave welts the size of quarters for atleast a week and are very itchy.Don't bring kids unless the dive. Diving looks excellant as I only snorkled and it was great. Casinos except a couple that are new ( Rennissanc is the best )are a step back in time, 1970's machines, you need a money card to play ( you get them at the booth. and are very small. no bargains downtown, enjoy its an adventure
Rickey
