We stayed at the Chogogo for part of our honeymoon and is just lovely!
The reception was warm and inviting and they even gave us a congratulatory bottle of sparkling wine for our honeymoon. The room was spacious and spotless! The bathroom only has a shower (no tub) but that was fine with me. There was a mosquito net over the bed which was a nice touch, as the island is pretty buggy during some parts of the year. Having the little kitchen was really nice. We had all of our breakfasts in the room and a few dinners, and it was really nice to be able to keep some snacks and drinks around. The pool is quite and comfortable with lots of nice shady spots and a little pool bar that serves snacks. There was also a little laundry room on the property, which was very handy on the last leg of our vacation. Chogogo is far from the airport and also pretty far from the city center, which we found to be a BIG plus! The city is pretty busy (and smoggy) and fills with tourists from the cruise ships. The hotel is located in what seems to be the fancy residential suburb and was about a ten-minute drive to the town and a few minutes to a shopping area. The nearby (private) beach club was beautiful and has a nice restaurant with casual eats.
The beach is impeccably clean and has comfy cots to relax on. On my next trip to Curacao I will definitely stay at Chogogo!
