“Very Good in my books!”

Went to this resort Jan 26 2012 for a week, Group of 6 all of us 25 years old, stayed in the garden view rooms, got a chance to get into an ocean view and would definatly do that next time. We were looking for a resort where we could relax if we wanted, play if we wanted, party if we wanted, and let me tell you this was the resort for all that. Day time we spent most of it on the beach, which is beautiful, stayed at solymar last year, much the same from what i can remember...activities crew always had games going on by the pool everyday, and was a great way to meet new people. all ages too. The hotel to me was very clean, rooms cleaned very well everyday. Food the first few days was OK, however as the resort filled up the food seemed to get better, and by the end of it we'd eat anything... it was also nice to try out the food they cooked on the beach during the day. all of the bartenders deserve a big high five, did a great job!!! especially my buddy sergio at the pool bar, had no problem bringing trays of beer to us as we watched the shows at night.....THE SHOWS, very good, in comparison to other resorts i have travelled to, the magic show was one of my favorites...Night Life at bella costa, the lobby bar is always going at night, lots of people hanging out there, didnt seem like the disco ever got to busy tho. most nights we'd have drinks at the lobby bar (which is open 24H) head out front, catch a cab which was never a problem and head to one of the bars, which ever one was happening that night. (ask guy at front door for that)...and after the bar...a nice night cap or two back at the lobby bar. Went to Havana one day with a private tour guide and taxi van, also went on the catamaran which is always a great day! all in all i'd return to this resort again. one day....

Room Tip: had the gardenview, spend the extra few $$$ get the oceanview

just came from breezes bella costa about a couple of weeks ago, all i can say about this resort is it was amazinngg, we went in a group of 6 and we all loved it, did not wanna leave! pool was okay but we all love the beach more! beach was very clean the sand was very clean, lots of chairs around, cute little gifts to buy, clean clean resort and although the rooms aren't all modern who really cares? why would you go on vacation to sit in your room! bartenders were amazing i miss them already very very friendly staff, we all had an amazing time! I suggest you do the excursions we did riding with the dolphins and boat cruise and riding the horses went into town a few times and it was great, food is great. I have nothing negative to say about this resort, i just wanna go back, which i am in march!

“Great Beach Location”

This hotel shares the fantastic Varadero beach strip that is second to none anywhere. The beach is a priority to us because we spend most of our daytime at the beach. Water sports are great here and well managed. The hotel is a little ragged (even by Cuban hotel standards) and needs some serious furniture replacements. We were very lucky because there was a two man band from Halifax, Nova Scotia staying here during our visit and they provided great dance music (dance oldies) in the lobby and entertainment area several times and attracted a huge audience that everyone appreciated and enjoyed.

“Good times in Cuba”

7 of us travelled to Bella Costa Jan 30-Feb6th. The resort is a nice small resort compared to some of the bigger hotels. Great service at ALL the bars!! Tried all 3 a la cartes, really enjoyed the Italian and Japanese! We had great weather the whole time.!

My room was a bit older, and could have used some updating, but in reality, i spent very LITTLE time there!!

Went in the pool once, but spent most of the time at the beach. Few vendors walking around, but didn't bother us.

Definately not a shortage of rum here!!

I would say if if you are looking for a fun cuba trip, try this hotel out!

“wonderful family holiday!”

When we first arrived we didn't know what to think...the hotel seemed run down and dated and I wondered what I booked!! But the next day we began to enjoy ourselves and had a wonderful time. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff especially was so nice but we treated them well too.We did tip most servers and found them to be very appreciative but not expectant. The room was always clean and decorated daily with fresh flowers and swan towels. The beach was amazing! So close and clean.Beautiful sand and water and always a lounge chair available. They have lots of chairs so its never a rush to get to the beach to save a chair. We had two pool days when it was too windy at the beach and we enjoyed them.Again lots of lounge chairs. The pool liner maybe needs some work but otherwise good size. They always had activities by the pool during the day and we really enjoyed the entertainment in the evening. We had great meals at the ala cartes especially the italian and Japanese.Make sure you book these on the first day because they fill up so quick. We went on the double decker bus into Varadero. That was fun and a great value...5 cuc for a day pass.We also went on the catarmaran which was awesome! We loved it..it includes snorkelling,an interaction with dolphins and the afternoon spent at a beautiful little island called Cayo Blaco. They fed us a cuban lunch there as well of lobster and shrimp or chicken if you preferred. It was tasty. We really liked Jimmy's buffet for breakfast and we usually had the fresh made pizzas at the beach grill for lunch. All in all we really enjoyed Cuba.We always felt safe'enjoyed the people and couldnt get enough of the beach. We would definately go back to cuba but probably try a different hotel.
