Don Jorge, Marisel and their daughter Jessica were extremely gracious and helpful in our stay in La Habana. They went out of their way so that we would feel at home and comfortable... even waited for us at ungodly hours at dawn when we had to go to the airport.

Their advice was also greatly appreciated about how to behave in the city, how to change Euros to CUCs and how much you should pay for taxis (so that they do not take *too* much advantage of you).

We also enjoyed getting to know them, and getting a bit of a feeling of what life is in this country. You will completely miss this aspect if you go to a hotel in Cuba.

The house itself is greatly located in the Vedado area. You have the "Paladares" within walking distance, and the pier close by. You can walk from there to the city centre. The room has air conditioning, which is a *must* in Cuba.

Again, we are grateful to Don Jorge and his family for having received us in his home.

I stayed one week with my daughter in the large room and we both liked the stay very much. The family was very friendly and helpful, we would like to go back to the same room again.

When we had our stay, there were another guest only one night. So the other days we had the large bathroom by ourselves (and there was no problem sharing it). The bathroom is very clean with hot water in the shower, and towels for us.

The sleeping room is large and clean, with air conditioning. We could use a refrigerator for our food. The guest rooms, bathroom and the refrigerator is placed in a separate place in the apartment, it was easy to feel private. But it was also nice to meet the friendly family when we passed their living room to get to our own rooms, they were very helpful when we had questions.

The marvelous thing about Jorge is that if one of their rooms is not available, he will find you a very suitable room in the same tree-shaded, safe neighborhood. The hosts are gracious most hospitable making visitors feel genuinely welcome. Staying in a casa particular is superior to most hotels in value and experience if for no other reason than you get more personalized attention and often an opportunity to enjoy home cooked meals. Jorge, Marisel, and Jessica are examples of the term graciousness.

Jorge and his wife made us feel very comfortable. The room was clean and the atmosphere homey.

I reccommend this casa to any age, anyone.
