We stayed with Jorge and Marisel 06Oct-21Oct2011. First in the small back room, then moved to the large room. The reservations were honored in the most sincere manner. Best shower in Havana, and I have tried quite a few during 12 years visiting the city frequently. Will be happy to return to their home during the next visit.

My husband and I stayed with Jorge and his family from Oct5-12 what a kind, caring family.I was a bit unsure about staying in a house rather than a resort, but they sure made me feel safe.Jorge and his wife are a fountain of information as to where to eat and what to go see, when to be careful and what to do to be safe. I learned what was true and what was untrue about Cuba. This was our 4th trip to Cuba, and the bed was not made of concrete as are the beds in the resorts. The room was very comfortable. Thankyou so much for sharing your home and culture with us.

my girlfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights in all, and had a really great experience. The whole family made us feel at home, and went out of their way to make it a pleasant stay. Everything in the apartment shows a personal touch. The breakfasts are delicious, the rooms extremely comfortable and spotless. You're on a quiet side street but steps away from paladares and nightclubs, as well as leafy parks and several of the biggest hotels if you need tourist services. We won't be able to make it back for a while, but we'll definitely stay here again. Beat the hotels we stayed at hands down. I've never been moved to write a review before, but this rose to that level.

This was an absolute pleasure for us staying here with Jorge and his family. Upon arrival, we were a little unsure about it as it looks like a regular apartment building from the front and of course is a casa, not a hotel. But we were pleasantly surprised when we went inside. Jorge and his family welcomed us with open arms, were always friendly and willing to chat with us and help us plan excursions and find things we needed.

The bedroom was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner was loud, but worked well and kept us cool (which was great because it was 30-40 degress the whole time we were there), and the bathroom was sufficient for sure. We had access to the family living room which was cozy and comfortable. Every morning we were cooked a home cooked breakfast consisting of fried eggs, fresh bread and butter, a huge plate of delicious fresh fruit, and coffee and freshly made fruit juice.

We always felt safe and comfortable and could come and go as we pleased.

I highly recommend this place to any couple, single, or small family who doesn't want the busy resort vacation, and is willing to really get to know the local people of Havana.

We loved it and miss our Havana family!
