I stayed here back in september 2005 after a friends recommended staying at Aleidas place. Since I had no prior planning of my 2 weeks trip, we organized it together. She gave me a lot of useful tips and connections. When I had some 'bad luck' with some taxi drivers, she helped me out a great deal. This is definitely one of the nicer casas to start your trip at. The downside is however that it is a bit far from the historical center (expect to pay +/- 15 CUC/one way with a taxi)

Hello everyone who may be interested on visiting Habana!!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at Aleida's place in Vedado, We had a good time we have no complains about the place, the food was really good, the room was always clean and her nice and her husband got a cute little boy who lives beside them.. they are all very nice people. Aleida will recommend things to do for you and places to go and eat. But it is always up to you about your choices of what to do. I recommend a good walk around Havana to find good places to eat and drink.
I will definitely recommend this place!

I stayed at this house for a few days and all i can say are good things about Aleida and her family. they go out of their way to make you feel right at home. located in a nice little area with everything fairly close to you, if you really wanna experience cuba for the beautiful country that it is, i strongly suggest this place. I for one am definetly going back!
