We didnt book this Hotel , we ended up here because the NH Parque Central Hotel had overbooked and sent us here , when we tired and it was a thunderstorm. However , massive reception/entrance to the Hotel , its on 20 floors , the lifts were a horrible feeling , they sort of went up and down all the time , however , the rooms were large and clean , little antiquated but thats ok , the maid service was excellent and they left little notes saying they hoped you were enjoying your holiday etc , so sweet . ! The service was fantastic and lovely musicgroups played at meal times ! the breakfast and dinner were amazing , everything you could think of and Im really fussy and dont eat meat etc.(even chilled Cava if you wished for your breakfast !!!!) it was a really great stay. Across from the Hotel there is like a shopping precint with a supermarket which sells rum , water etc all so cheap. Then there is a super cafe/bar/nightclub , we ate there , we enjoyed their live band , jazz/bongo/salsa , a mixture and it was amazing value. After 20.30 you must pay a minimum entrance to this bar of 10Cuc per person convertible(pesos) but you get 4 mojitos for this price each and a live band !!! Then there was another havana cafe/nighclub next door to the Melia Cohiba hotel and it was very international (20cuc entrance per person) no drinks included and we nearly fell asleep it was so boring. The Hotel has an enormous swimming pool , we tried it once , cold in January. but they supply swimming towels , and the pool is surrounded by loungers and an outside restaurant , very nice. The hotel offers also a FREE courtesy bus to central Havana , only 5kms away , and it gives you various pickup-drop-off times which was so good. The hotel does have a business centre with a very busy clientele trying to check email etc , it is expensive , around 6cuc for 30mins but it is not broadband isnt fast but is okay if it is a necessity. I would say Sol Melia Hotels must be the best , I live in Spain , Andalucia and we have used them in Spain also and they never disappoint.
Room Tip: We were on 17th floor , nice views if you could see out the windows ,lol must be difficult gettin...

Dear Mr./Mrs. Flamencolass,
First of all, let me thank you for having used part of your valuable time to send us your comments about our Hotel.
It is a pleasure to know your opinion about room cleaning and our breakfast and dinner service and to know that we cover your expectations on this regard.
In relation to elevators, allow me to inform you that we are making some reforms in the Hotel, among wich we are planning to change them next year, in order to offer our guests a product to the height they deserve.
Once again, thank you very much for your words and I hope to receive you again at Melia Cohiba Hotel.
Best regards,
Juan Tuñon Cifre
