The reviews here are all spot on. Great location, value, hosts etc. Our stay could not have been easier or more enjoyable. Previous comments about noise can be disregarded; the construction outside has moved on.

Just one thing: we stayed in one of the 1BR units. The bedroom was very dark. The windows are very small with deep shutters. You cannot tell if it is day or night when you are in there with the shutters closed (necessary when the A/C is on). Difficult for us to wake up due to no natural light in the morning.

We had a lovely stay at the Blachi Koko 'Kadushi' appartment. The main attraction of this particular appartment is the huge terrace with seeview. A table in the shade gives you ample space for a nice lunch or diner. The sunbeds can be used for relaxing.
There are two bedrooms which both have the advantage of a window on the eastside: at night the eastern Caribian wind enters your room making it very agreable during the warm nights (combined with the fan). Of course you could use the airco but ... The only disadvantage is that the bathroom becomes fairly warm.
The buildings and appartments are impeccable, the garden is lush and green with beautiful, strong coloured flowers.
The owners do everything to make your stay agreable. Transfer from and to the airport (no matter what time), a chat in the morning, a nice bottle of wine in the fridge, lots of icecubes for icewater, advice where needed, etc.
Nearby you can have a huge breakfast at the Divi Flamengo resort ($15). Diner at 'It rains fishes', also at walking distance.
All in all, very worthwhile.

I love the Blachi Koko for many reasons, partly because of Laeti and Matthieu, the proprietors, but also because of the feeling of seclusion it offers, it's proximity to grocery stores and great diving operations (specifically the Carib Inn, two doors down) and its size - five immaculate apartments, decorated in the Dutch style which is so popular there. If you want "Big Box" accommodations, choose Buddy Dive or The Sand Dollar or some other place that offers boat diving and restaurants or Casinos. But if you love the feeling of seclusion and the freedom to do your own thing, you can't beat the Blachi Koko. Everything you need for cooking your own meals is there or you can easily walk to all the best restaurants on Bonaire. Then, come "home" and relax in your hammock in your own little oasis full of beautiful potted bouganvillias and cacti. I absolutely love it there and go back every year (four years running). What better recommendation than that could there be?

Did a round trip on the ABC islands. This was by far the best place we stayed at.
Really nice apartment. Small helpful things that made it even better (moskito net, bikes). And the managing couple was just incredibly friendly and helpful!
