“worth every dollar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2011

Just got in. Nice ocean view. Price can't be beat. Location, location, location. In town so plenty of restos, dive shops, free parking. Next to City Cafe so a touch noisy ... but the alternate is staying at a dated resort way far from town. Forget about it and stay here. It's what you would expect for a hotel in the budget level. It's clean, tidy etc. I recommend.

“Beautiful view, but you sleep on top of a disco”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2010

(AM 2:25) I send this review while I'm in on of the
Rochaline rooms If you question yourself why I'm writing a review in the middle of the night it's because you are not able to sleep in this hotel. The music is so loud that you just simply have to wait till the party is done before you can go to sleep. Tomorrow morning we've planned a dive trip but unfortunately we have to cancel that because of the bad conditions.
Beside that you don't have a hot shower, have to pay for your internet and have nobody to complain at the reception. This hotel is good for your wallet but at the end it will cost you a night sleep and therefor a full morning (or even more)

Jordy,
26 year old, why spend a lot of night in low budget hotels all over the world (only a youth hostel in india was wors than this)

“I waited for more...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

It's a cheaper hotel price, but some essencial facilites are expected, like a refrigerator, hot shower, included breakfast, etc.
This is a place where you have to stay out during the day, and arrive at the hotel just for sleep. By the way... one night it wasn't possible, due a party just down at the hotel restaurant in front of our room. Is is a very frequented restaurant
My room was a ocean view, but the roof view is included .
The internet is paid.
My wife and i have been at Curaçao and Aruba and enjoyed a nice hotels facilities there.
At Bonaire, our final part of trip, our hotel stay could be better for a gold end trip.
Too many places to visit. rent a car and go around!
1000 steps. must go there.

“Nice stay at Hotel Rochaline”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2009

We just returned from Hotel Rochaline, we spent 6 nights at the hotel over Christmas. I figured I should provide an updated review. The price was splendid! As others have written the rooms are small, started to feel a bit crowded with my husband in the room. We had T.V., AC, small porch that looked over the City Café restaurant and the ocean. The rooms are above the bar. We also could see the cruise ships every day from our deck. The room was clean and had daily maid service. The bathroom looked like it had new tile in shower, walls and floor. We are pretty independent travelers and did not interact with the staff much, but they were all friendly. The drawbacks of the place are that the City Café is the party place on the island, therefore you can hear music in your room and sometimes they party late. I always sleep with ear plugs and was not bothered, but my husband was. The location is splendid especially if you drink too much at city café and just want to roll home. The rooms are a bit like an old Motel 6 in the U.S. but the price is even better! We paid $60 a night. More money for other things! We would go back but might only stay a few nights at this place rather than six nights.

“Hotel Rochaline a great deal for your money”

The location of the Hotel Rochaline can't be beat. The hotel is situated between the main boulevard of downtown Kralendijk and the ocean. The oceanside of the hotel has a lovely open-air bar and restaurant and was a perfect spot for watching the sun set while enjoying happy hour. It appeared the bar was the happening place - frequented by locals and tourists alike. The hotel, restaurant and bar are all located in one building with an internet café that was very convenient for checking my business email. The hotel is walking distance to many other restaurants and shopping. The rooms are clean, neat, and orderly with affordable rates. The employees at Hotel Rochaline are very helpful - notably Sjoerd Vanderburg, who made our stay very enjoyable. Sjoerd is a charming host and was extremely helpful with everything from our flight to recommending fine wines. My wife and I highly recommend the Hotel Rochaline and will stay there again when we visit Bonaire.
