Den Laman offers very modern and exceptionally clean apartments with most amenities Americans expect at hotels. The rooms are enormous, baths modern and kitchens look they are right out of a design catalog. The prices are surprisingly in line with other, much less well maintained condos- eg Sand Dollar Resort where we had stayed in the past. There are some drawbacks though: oceanview is not really a view unless you are willing to hang your head and body out the window. Although apartments are large, there is little cross-ventilation so it almost mandates running the AC, especially since there are no screens in the windows! No nice ocean breezes to enjoy- even on the balcony. (Environmentally, this is silly and wasteful.) The kitchen is gorgeous but the utensils are meager. Probably what I missed most was a place to sit where you could enjoy the water views and sunsets. There is no public area outside- only the restaurant which is often closed. There is no place to sit in the sun or shade outside if you are not diving. Heaven knows you don't need a pool in Bonaire, but some beach chairs, a place to sit and read etc would be nice. But the major reason to go to Bonaire is the diving and the diving on the house reef here is great.
I would probably stay there again but spring for an oceanfront room.
