We arrived at the Yacht club in the early hours and were shown to our apartment. I don’t give opinions just facts because everyone has different tastes and expectations. We occupied apartment 9 a 2 bed 1 bath. There were 2 generous sized bedrooms (by UK standards). Bedroom 1 had 1 bedside cabinet, a cupboard, wardrobe and chair but no mirror. Bedroom 2 had 1 bedside cabinet and a sofa and a mirror. The bathroom was enormous and consisted of a shower that never failed to give plenty of hot water, a toilet with no lid, a basin with only cold water and a bathroom cabinet. The lounge, dining area and kitchen were open plan The kitchen had sink, hob (no oven), toaster, coffee maker, microwave, fridge and several utensils etc, the sink only has cold water and hot water can be boiled with a hob top kettle. There is also a wardrobe in the kitchen area.
The lounge has two sofas and an easy chair, coffee table, TV with lots of channels. The dining area had a glass table and 4 chairs. The outside patio had a drier and table and chairs.
The apartment was a corner plot so the patio saw very little daylight and we had to have the lights on when in. There is a mosquito problem and we bought mosquito coils for outside dining, we found them adequate and were able to eat outside most evenings.
The dive tack room was sufficient and had plenty of hangers, the rinse tank was a large size and was easy to empty and re-fill when necessary. The only problem we encountered was someone kept parking a red truck right up to the tank which restricted our access.
The owners were very friendly and overall the Yacht Club was an excellent base for diving the reefs of Bonaire, the bed linen and towels were changed every third day and we were able to stay in the apartment on the last day until it was time to leave.
