I stayed at this hotel in October and November 2011. Had a one bedroom, on the ground floor and a studio on the 3rd floor. Had a great ocean view from both on my balcony. The room was nice and quiet, both were spacious and clean. I was like a little apartment. Although i did not use the kitchen either time cause when you are there for business there is no time to go shopping for groceries etc I am sure it is a nice option for vacationers. I mean you do not have to use it - there are more than enough meal options nearby. Highly recommend Champers! which seemed to be like right next door. Reservations highly recommended.

Lots of storage space for longer stays. The bathroom/shower facilities were clean... good hot water, good water pressure - very important things to me. Did not need a manual to figure out the shower and hot water.FREE Wi-Fi perfect to skype the family at home when on business, checking emails and working in general. Very good lighting -overhead and lamps - very essential when trying to work in a hotel room. Pet Peeve - hotel rooms with dim lighting. Front desk staff friendly, accommodating - no complaints. The little turtle is so cute too - the pet in the little pond in the check in area. Breakfast beach side is great too. Got a good sweat in the Fitness centre and our group had a mini meeting in the business centre.

This is not a hotel hotel but more like your apartment away from home - I am not a real fan of cliche hotel rooms anyway with doors and doors along a long dark corridor.

We went to Barbados to enjoy the sun, the beach and do a lot of diving. The Blue Orchid studio was perfect for us. We had our own kitchen, a nice balcony with sea view, a magnificent small beach just in front of the Coral Reef which is just nearby. There are plenty of restaurants and 2 supernarkets within a walking distance.

We would go back there without any hesitation.

Althought I've stayed at Coral Mist (sister hotel) before, never at Blue Orchids. They bailed me out when my intended location was unavailable at the last minute. Large and comfortable room, well maintained, excellent service, wonderful staff, fantastic location. Safe, reliable and comfortable.

I spent one Night at sister hotel Coral Mist, and due to being fully booked I was re-located to The Blue Orchid , apartment/ Studio room 304. Never did I expect such special tranquil luxury. a top frloor Caribbean Gingerbread style apartment with green borders high ceilings contempory designed, a compact kitchen and living room, a seperate bedroom ensuite king size bed , ipod dock two cable tv's, a/c. Spotlessly pristine and a balcony over the beach, also in my room a panoramic view of the cliff over the turqoise sea.
The trip down the staircase took me to the beach and the sea. In this tranquill Caribbean paradise. Of select staff and superb security . The Orchid is a stroll away from a large supermarket, shopping mall many restaraunts , bar's and night clubs in this stylish fashionable area. The Orchid I found ideal for , single's, couples families, friends, and is a unique escape retreat to a Caribbean hideaway.
