I stayed at coral house in previous years and finally someone has given it alittle tlc....still the same quiet place but its started to get its soul back.......

Near to the airport yes, cheap - not really, we have found other, better places in Barbados for a similar price. Rooms are clean, but that's about all I can say - they look very run down, electrics look positively dangerous. We paid for 3 nights and stayed only one before finding somewhere else to stay.

We stayed at Coral house because it was cheap, had a kitchen, and was close to the airport. It turned out to be a pretty nice place. There is a small beach nearby, and a larger one at Silver Sands, an easy walk down the beach. Steve was very helpful, and even took us to the store the first day! Definitely a windsurf/kitesurf hangout with many Europeans and English. The bar has an all you can eat dinner and great happy hour which attracts lots of windsurfers from other places. The rooms are getting a little tattered and could use some TLC, but still just fine. You don't need AC, as the wind is always blowing. We're not windsurf types, but a family of four, two small kids. The kids loved it!
