Spent 8 days at the Yellow Bird with my girlfriend, son and his girlfriend. For the price you could not ask for a better place. We stayed in one of the suite's and it worked out great. The food at the Flying Fish is as good or better than some of the fine dining resteraunts that we went to and a lot cheaper. Great location to the Gap and walking distance to nice beachs etc... If you dont like the late night music ask for a room a little further away from the gap. Thanks for all your help when I was planning this trip.

Hotel is in a beautiful location (oceanfront). Bit noisy but OK. Staff's very accommodating. Pool is small. Need to walk to a nearby beach.
Lots of restaurants in the area but pricey. Can't eat cheap unless you cook :(
Even a couple of take out pizzas will exceed $50USD!
Hotel consists of :
(1) Main hotel with reg. suites and one penthouse suite.
Main hotel is very shabby and needs work. Stayed in the penthouse suite for 5 nights & almost died from the heat. The bedrooms have a/c but not enough to cool down the rest of the unit. Stifling doesn't even cover it! Also...NO ELEVATOR .. 4 floors to walk up.
(2) Two storey bldg. next door. The lower unit is the "deluxe main floor" and the upper is the "deluxe penthouse suite".
Stayed 2 additional nights in the deluxe penthouse. This building is brand new and beautiful. Air conditioned throughout and nicely decorated. Would recommend staying in either of the units in the new building. Beware..again..lots of stairs to the deluxe penthouse and same again to use the rooftop deck.
If you're on a tight budget, the reg. suites would be OK as you can cook and refrigerate.
Summary..beautiful location but main bldg. needs updating.

The location is perfect not the mention the view from our 2nd floor balcony. You have the idea that you are in the middle of everything. Nice beaches not far away, restraunts in the GAP fairly wide choice. Our go local and enjoy the BBQ stalls along the GAP.
We were worried about the noise from the night clubs but if you can't beat úm join úm (just kidding) I had more problems with the noise from the other hotel guest than the music from the Reggae Lounge. When we couldn't make it to the beach the pool was a great alternative open till 22:00!

We just stayed at the Yellow Bird from June 20th through to the 28th with a group of 27 people for a rugby tour. The location was great. You could literally walk to get anything you needed. The staff was extremely helpful. We had a lot of strange requests, and we didn't stump them once. Thank you very much to everyone at the Yellow Bird. Look forward to seeing you on my next visit to Barbdos.
