First time at the Sea Breeze and came away from a 12 night holiday feeling that we will definitely go again. The food was excellent, staff were very friendly, special mentions for Charles and Joanna in the restaurants, always helpful and polite..The housekeepers kept the rooms very clean and fresh towels every day, special mention to Irvine who was always chatty and smiling. There was plenty of food to eat, we ate in the Azul for 2 nights and we thought it had a lovely ambience, well presented food, very nouveau cuisine but was enough for us as we used to use the Fish Pot snack bar in the afternoons for pizza as well! We often had our lunch at the beach bar as well as it was next to the beach and more informal than the other restaurants. When on the beach the waiter Chesterfield came round to give you drinks which was a nice touch and sometimes a cold flannel to cool you down in the baking hot sun! All in all, we cannot fault this holiday, we did a few trips round the island, all well organised and plenty of rum punches involved!! The rooms are large and spacious and maybe could do with a little updating but still clean and have everything you need. If I had one criticism for this hotel, it would be that the receptionists need to be a little more welcoming and smile a bit more often. We never had a problem with them but I saw others that did and I felt the receptionists needed to be a little more professional when dealing with people, but dont want to dwell on that as we would definitely come back here again. The rest of the staff at this hotel worked really hard to ensure that everyone had a good time.

Room Tip: The rooms near reception will have a little noise at night from the evening entertainment but this g...

“the staff stole from us!”

15 nights at the Seabreeze left us with a bitter taste after battling with the management to gain a £200 refund after it was proven by the staff and cctv that our daughters ipod was stolen by a member of staff.

Along with the miserable receptionist and bad mannered restaurant staff (excluding 2) the mood of the Hotel was far from positive and happy holidays!

The owners of the Hotel whom my wife met in the gym actually commented " yes they will nick " with no shock in her voice at all !

If you go look after your valuables in paradise........

On arriving at the hotel we was given a rum punch and a cold flannel which was very nice. the reception staff was ok. we was given information on dining times with a card for beach towls and a saftey deposit box key which you had to leave your credit card details for a deposit of 50 us dollars each so don't loose them. our cases where then taken to the room so far so good.

room: on first impressions the rooms were ok very big and very clean. the bath and shower could have done with a bit of updating. there was shampoo, conditioner and shower gel that would get refilled when half gone. moisturising cream and flannels also so was impressed with that. there is a large flat screen tv in the bedrooms and lots of storage we was on the ground floor over looking the pool and beach which was lovely. only down side was at night being so close to the sea its very noisy so if your a light sleeper its not reccomended.

food: there was 3 restaurants one was the azul which we never tried but heard it was very nice but you had to pay a little extra for and could only visit twice over your stay. the other was the mermaid which was breakfast, lunch, 2 buffet nights and 5 a la carte nights. for the evening you had to book a time slot at breakfast or the night before.breakfast was very nice the same every day but a good choice. seen as they had every thing possible available for breakfast there is no room for change. the omelettes were fantastic and judy who made them was lovely and brightened up the morning. lunch times at the fish pot beach bar were also very good pizza was lovely and sereved all sorts burger, chips hot dogs etc. the mermaid at lunch was just a buffet was ok could have been more variety. dinner at the mermaid was ok menu was very limited it was a 3 course but only 4 main meals to choose from and being a fussy eater at time there was nothing i would want but when i did it was very nice.

service: i didnt really need to contact anyone about complaints as i had none other than one lady in the restaurant. i cant remember what her name was but she never seemed happy, when served by her she would often give me the wrong food. and ask what your drinks were and never bring them over. on the other hand the waiter charles was fantasic, very friendly and delivered fantastic service would always say hello when passing lovely guy. the grounds were kept very clean and the people who worked the would always say hello when passing. richard the gardener was also another great guy always chatting and always happy gave us lots of information about the island.

beach: the beach is fantastic, and beautiful there is water sports available and the guys that work there are great very friendly and chilled. when on the beach there is a guy called chesterfeild who is great always comimg round with drink sevice and cold flannels to keep you cool. the beach it well looked after and kept clean and tidy. you get a few come round selling stuff but if you say no they just go. really funny guys to talk to thou. on the grounds of the hotel you have bert who is selling also another funny guy who is happy to chat and no pressure to sell.

entertainment: being in our late 20's i found the entertainment very boring and think thats an area which could definatly improve there was a lot of elderly people that made me feel a little uncomfortable at times and called there self the january club and would look at you like it was there hotel. apart from them there was a few younger people and then the middle aged which was great every one said hello and met some lovely people (other than the saga crew). the people that work there are so friendly and chilled and make you feel so relaxed.

area: the area is great on a friday you have oistens where all the tourists and locals go to party. loads of food to choose from great music gift stalls and a great atmosphere its only a 20 minute walk but beware pavements in barbados are not great. there are little sports bars around and st lawrance gap around a 30 minute walk away. its very safe to walk around and felt safe all the time.

overall i would definatly come back the hotel was beautiful and clean, beach was amazing, food was nice and the people are fantasic. would be a much better place with a bit more entertainment at night in the hotel.

Hotel part of a Virgin Cruise Stay package stayed for 3 days, would have liked more. Room large with great size bed and bathroom. Lots of storage space. Food excellent particularly BBQ. Own white sandy beach inc beach bar and grille. Location good, bus to town nearby. Only pros. 50$ deposit for towel/ safe & no lifts.

Room Tip: Ask for room in main block to avoid a long walk with your cases

“Lovely romantic getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We booked very last minute so didn't read the reviews and to be honest just wanted a week in the sun before the madness of Christmas so wasn't too fussed as long as we had the beach and the weather stayed kind to us.

Our expectations were exceeded.

The rooms were spacious and clean - the bathroom was a little rough around the edges but hey how long does it take to have a shower - also always plenty of hot water.

The beach is lovely with plenty of sun loungers, brollys and we even had waiter service on the beach for drinks. I know some poeple pay to upgrade to the Club Service which gives priorities over brollys, stocked mini bar and free internet access etc, however, we didn't bother and managed to get internet access for free from the balcony of our hotel and who needs a mini bar filled with drinks when you can take up to your room anything you need - it seemed a waste of money to us.

The restaurant had a vast array of food and certainly there was something for everyone to enjoy. At the beginning we were a little worried about having to book a set time for evening meals but to be honest we ended up preferring it and it meant that we never had to queue for dinner. The evening restaurant was buffet with a couple of days per week al a carte. We preferred the buffet days as you could linger over your dinner for as long as you want. On the al a carte nights the poor waitress was very quick to clear and serve your next course so you ended up eating your whole evening meal in 1/2hr - not sure if this is because they are told to keep clearing or our particular waitress was just very nervous and didn't want to keep us waiting. Anyway a tip to management people like to linger over the evening meal and not rush.

The adult only pool was lovely and very quiet and peaceful and we loved the cold jacuzzis.

All in all a lovely hotel and we will hopefully return.
