This is the second time I stayed at this property. The first time was July 02 for 3 weeks. That time it was nice. Not great but nice, and the location is perfect. So this year we decided to go back. The first thing I said when I got there was WOW, they did no real improvements since then.

I was excited to stay in the 3bdrm 2 bath apartment until I got there and initially stated "well its not too bad".
The thing is a few basic things could have made the experience a whole lot better.
1. Some paint for one, I mean in the days of HGTV, and DIY you would think they would have covered up some of the imperfections.
2. A list of what is included in the apartment so that you know what you will need before you get there would help.
3. A posting of the procedure when it comes to cleaning (once the place is properly cleaned before you get there.) saying if they come to clean and when, or what do you do if you need the place cleaned.
If cleaning is the renters responsibility and you actually supply the equipment to do so then that should not only be stated somewhere but the equipment should be available before the end of week one.
4. A phone. There are no phones in the apartments that work, so you have to rely on the office phone or a cell phone if you have one. (you can refill the prepaid phones in the office as well if you need)

Melbourne Apt in Black Rock, has the potential to be a great property. Just a few little things would make that happen. As a traveler going to a country away from home it is always good to have an idea, in advance of what you are walking into. They did not do that. They had fans in the bedrooms but in the living/dining room area you had to do with out. That was not too bad, but a fan would be nice out there.
Melbourne apartments are spacious, it is accessible to everything, the beach is not far, food is not far, and neither is transportation. That in itself is a GREAT thing.
Now if they get the rest of things together I would be able to recommend them to any and everyone I know. We made the best of it and enjoyed our selves in Beautiful Barbados!!!

This apartment is great we stayed in a 2 bed 1 bath it was spacious and the staff were very accomadating the salon is great i got my hair done there i was very satisfied. Its cheap and cheerful we had a tv o2 terraces and were right next to the laundry room! It was my first time and barbados and found it great. the bus stop outside had a bus straight in to town i loved the KFC!
