“You won't be disappointed here”

My wife and I just spent five days at The Reefs and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was fantastic and the room was spotless with an amazing view of the vibrant blue water and the coastline. I had spent a week at The Reefs 22 years ago and had not been back to Bermuda since. I have fond memories of that trip and longed to go back again. This most recent trip proved even better than I remembered. You will not be disappointed if you book a trip here. The only downfall is the cost of cocktails. It doesn't take long to spend a lot, and after all, you are on vacation, so who doesn't want to have a couple of drinks? We booked the Endless Summer package, which included the meal plan, gratuities, taxi to and from the airport and a three-day bus and ferry pass to get around the island. There was a buy three, get the fourth night free deal when we made our reservations, so we felt the price was right. Now is a good time to plan a Bermuda vacation with the cost-reducing deals that can be found. It is a very clean and beautiful island. You always feel safe there and can tour the island freely with little worry about your surroundings. This vacation destination is well worth the price of admission ......

Room Tip: I don't think The Reefs has a bad room. I believe they all look towards the ocean, and the view...

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

My husband and I stayed at The Reefs for our honeymoon & first trip to Bermuda and have nothing but good things to say about it. The property is gorgeous inside and out, the view cannot be beat (we could watch the sun set over the ocean while laying in bed!), and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The *private* beach is amazing - soft sand, warm water and so peaceful and quiet, plus the staff in the "Beach Hut" are super friendly and come out to your chair on the sand to see if you need anything (more Dark & Stormies please!). We went to Coconuts, Oceans Echo (inside and outside), and did beach dining for our meals and every meal had multiple courses of delicious food. When planning our honeymoon we found pictures online and I kept looking at ones from The Reefs of the beach, and the dining patio overlooking the ocean and saying THAT is what I want in a honeymoon - we arrived at The Reefs to find it was even better in person. Relaxing, peaceful, & luxurious!

Room Tip: It was worth the extra $$ for a Cliffside room versus a Poolside room!

“Extremely Happy Honeymooners”

My husband and I wanted to be sure to review The Reefs, as it was an absolute amazing experience!!! I wanted to provide a review to others who are thinking about staying at The Reefs, because we read so many of the reviews before taking our trip as well. We stayed at The Reefs from September 18th-September 24th for our honeymoon. We had planned on going to Bermuda for our trip, as we had heard wonderful things about the island and the locals. We flew out of Boston, which was the first great thing about going to Bermuda from the Northeast. It took under 2 hours to arrive in paradise! We booked the Romance package because it included extra amenities that we wanted to splurge a bit on- since we were on our honeymoon after all. Though we were hesitant to spend the amount of money we did, we're now so grateful we decided to go ahead with it. Everything was worth it and you get what you pay for.
We were greeted at the airport by our friendly cab driver Steve, and he gave us a nice mini-tour and provided us facts about Bermuda on our way to the hotel. Our room was great- just big enough for the two of us, with a little sitting area when needed (which wasn't often since we weren't in our room much at all). The bed was super comfortable, and we had a nice balcony that had wonderful views of the beautiful ocean. We stayed in a poolside room- as it was less expensive and in our budget. I was not disappointed in this at all. I read other reviews that stated it was noisy or had a bad view, but I didn't feel that way at all. It was in the perfect spot, with great views and central to the restaurants, hotel lobby, pool- with a very short walk to the beach. Our absolute favorite things about The Reefs are: the staff, the beautiful private beach and the amazing food!!! Everyday we were greeted in the morning, around the hotel throughout the day, and at dinner by the friendly staff. We felt like friends who had come to visit. Glenn was amazing and took great care of us down on the beach- definitely say hello if you see him! The staff at the front desk were very helpful with booking outings for us, and answering our questions on a variety of things. The management staff was also amazing. I love that they make themselves present at the hotel, as well as the parties they have (such as the rum-swizzle party). They talk to the guests and check-in on how your stay is going. It's so great to stay somewhere that we actually felt like the staff truly cared about us. We didn't really leave the resort much throughout our stay since everything we needed was right there. The private beach is the best! Why go to the other beaches which are overcrowded, when you can walk out of your room down to the beautiful, private beach at The Reefs? The food is outstanding! Coconuts was our favorite, but Ocean Echo came in at a close second. Our dinner on the beach for our last night at The Reefs, was the best part of our trip (it was included in the romance package). You can't get any better than having a 5 course meal, while staring at the ocean and sunset. We're so happy we chose to stay at The Reefs and will DEFINITELY be going back. Hopefully sooner than later...

**The only reason I took away one star from the sleep quality, was due to a noisy air conditioner in our room. It wasn't this way the whole time, but a few nights of our stay it made some funny sounds in the middle of the night. But I can't complain too much, because I would rather have an air conditioner and stay cool, then not have one in my room at all.**

Room Tip: All of the rooms have a beautiful ocean view!!!

The reefs i thought was going to be an amazing property, ever time we mentioned we were going to the reefs the response was WOW an amazing property apparently......the reefs has 2 parts the hotel and the resort. the resort is amazing with suites and exclusive accomodation......however this may be next to and or ajoining the hotel please do not get them confused. the hotel is nice but not as people had described "think they were getting it confused with the resort".
our room was quite dated, in particular the bathroom which was extremely small with a dripping shower which driped consistently day and night.
the propeerty has many rooms however the pool is very very small, only a plung pool really and around this pool there are 5 sun shades and 6 pairs of sun loungers. not enough if you all wnat to be in that area. the pool area is hugged and overlooked by some of the rooms....offering no privacy at room or pool. the whirlpool next to the pool was lovely and water very warm.
food was extremely good
internet only accessable from the library or tv room (rather irritating).
lots of steps and hills to climb especially if you want to get down to the beach.
not really suitable for the elderly or young children too many hazzards i would say.
sea is nice, but can be very rough, so if you rnot a strong swimmer please dont try it.
unfortunatley this was the last property we stayed at after a varied vacation of vegas and newyork and another propery in bermuda......i saved it for last as it was said to be the best, we couldnt wait to leave.....it was very disapointing

Room Tip: the hotel do say they are aware of the bathrooms needing updated and are in the process of doing thi...

“Wonderful experience at the Reefs”

We just returned from a wonderful trip to the Reefs. We had booked a two bedroom condo in the Club. The condo was just beautiful-- great amenities, spotless, and very gracious. We were two couples, and it was large enough and laid out in a way that afforded plenty of privacy, but a large common area to enjoy on the one day that it rained.

The food was fabulous, as was the service.

This was my 8th trip to the Reefs. In 2010 we were disappointed since it seemed things had gotten a little run-down, and the food was not exciting. This year we were just delighted with everything. It was a fabulous experience. Of course the Beach and the views are always great-- but now the service, food and premises were top-rate, also.

Room Tip: The Club is great!
