We have stayed at the Robin's Nest numerous times because our daughter lives close by. The Robinson family do a suberb job of maintaining their property. This is their home, too; they are always on site. If you are reasonably independent, are not troubled by a very short but steep walk from the bus stop and can enjoy living a bit off the beaten path, consider this property. Hamilton is 10 minutes by bus or 30minutes on foot to downtown. Grocery store is 20 min walk. Convenience store is 5 min. walk. Snorkling at Deep Bay can be wonderful and private (recently small tour boats have discovered this private cove-though since they drop anchor off shore, there is room for everyone); 10 min. walk. Beach and caves at Admiralty Park 15 min walk. The Robin's Nest pool is lovely, too. Renee Robinson is a lifelong gardener and the fruits and veggies she produces for her family are profuse and varied. Some plants on her property: bananas, avocados, figs, pawpaw, roses, flowering shrubs of all sorts, etc. Lovely! Though quiet in general, this is a neighborhood and there are day time activities and situations that may preclude sleeping in if your windows are open. There is a home being renovated next door and there is a dog a few homes over that usually barks for a few minutes infrequently during the day. With AC on you don't hear these things. We bring lots of food with us (refrigerator is small) and eat breakfast on out balcony :-). We've had family dinners at a table in the garden by the pool many times, too.
