Don't listen to any of those foolish reviews and bad comments. I found this island getaway to be exactly what my soul and spirit needed. Remember you are visiting an island you are not going to fifth avenue or Vegas! Spend the couple extra dollars on an ocean front room and your door will open onto the greenest grass (palm trees included).
Building 200 is the closest to the beach and the sound of those waves at night just lolled me to sleep. The entire grounds of the complex are manicured and picture perfect. There are lounge chairs throughout the property for taking it easy and the pool was very refreshing.
St. George was historical and cute with its old-time reenactments and quaint shops.
Hamilton was bustling and very big-city. I ran from there quick, I was here to enjoy the island and the peacefulness. A half day I spent at Tom Moores' Jungle. This was just to awesome- I never saw another person the entire time I wandered around the jungle taking pictures of the undisturbed nature the way it would have been when the island was first founded. The second half of that day was spent at the Botanical Gardens, very pristine and the plants all had nametags (unlike the jungle). The narrow roads are a bit scary to walk along but the drivers are polite and friendly. The price of food is pretty steep ($40 for a medium pizza).
I had an amazing getaway to a great island and a great hotel. I will be back for sure!
