We have celebrated the past eight New Years at Elbow. We stayed in the hotel building until it was closed then stayed at the Beachfront Lanais. Our experiences were always exactly what we were expecting. We are beach people and the ocean is rejuvenating after a hectic holiday season. The spa is “beautiful, immaculate, and professional.” The location is perfect; approximately half way between St. David’s and Dockyard and a brief walk to the beach. We enjoy dining at surrounding fine restaurants such as Waterlot, the Point, etc. as well as Lido. The concierge has always been exceptional. During the transition from hotel centered facilities (Seahorse, Veranda, etc.) to beach centered (Lido, Mickey’s, etc.) facilities, the service staff did decline but, happy to say, the quality has improved. As with most of Bermuda, Elbow is expensive but is a good value. (Last summer, we paid about $ 80.00 less per night at a Jersey Shore hotel that was terrible.) Elbow is a touch of “old” Bermuda in the “new” Bermuda world.
