My wife and I spent 4 nights between Christmas and New Year's at Elbow Beach. The room was excellent and spacious. Although the outside of the buildings look dated, the rooms that we stayed in was recently revnovated and new. The hotel has a main building and then a series of buldings that have maybe 10 rooms or so. We had a Deluxe Ocean view room and our patio had a nice partial ocean view. Pay attention to what type of view and what building they are placing you in. Some of the buildings had trees and gardens in front of them and must of had a totally different feel to the resort. The staff was curtious and helpful. A little disappointing that there is no in room entertainment (ie, on Demand movies, pay per view, etc). We had to have them bring up a DVD player and then go to the lobby to choose DVDs. We did this because it was raining. After all it is Bermuda and you shouldn't be spending time watching movies! The hotel has a great location, only a 5 minute scooter ride to Jobson's cove/Horseshoe Bay and about 7 minutes to Hamilton. There is onsite scooter rental. Taxi's to the airport cost about $30. The food at the hotel restaurants is pricey, but so is all of the food in Bermuda. The beach is excellent and private. Internet is available in the lobby for free. You have to pay for in room WiFI. I am never a big fan of paying $14 a day for Internet, especially when the connectivity is bad and it's slow.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was our second time in Bermuda and to me, the hotels play a small part in why we come to Bermuda. We want to be out exploring Bermuda and usually don't spend too much time at the hotel.
