“Imperfect-- but maybe the best place on earth.”

How does a high priced resort with rather ordinary, dated accomodations and limited amenities dazzle its guests and keep them coming back for decades? Maybe it is the vast, perfect, unspoiled beach covered with the softest, whitest sand imaginable....just a few steps from your bedroom door. It might be the impeccable, friendly service and some of the best resort food in the islands. Perhaps it is the welcoming, family-friendly, house party evironment where guests feel as members of a casually elegant, unpretentious club. It could be the easy access to the fully included activities including sailing, snorkeling, waterskiing and deep sea fishing.

Our well travelled family of 4 (including children age 8 and 12) spent a wonderful week at Coco Point in our first trip there this April. At first, we wondered why almost all the other guests would return year after year to this remote, decidely unglitzy spot. With each passing day we became more enchanted the simple beauty and the remarkable atmosphere of Coco Point. We have now joined the ranks of families who will make annual pilgrimages to this amazing place.

“My Favorite Place (PTinkham, CT)”

Coco Point Lodge in beautiful Barbuda is my favorite place in the world to be. I have traveled to many islands in the Caribbean and many beautiful places on the Mediterranean. Coco Point has proven to be above and beyond the rest. It’s not just the clear aqua water and the buttery white sand. Nor the friendly staff, delicious food, cozy rooms, soaring pelicans, doves, laughingulls, bananaquits (small, adorable, colorful sparrows) butterflies or plush trees and flowers. It’s much more than that. It’s an indescribable place that I will attempt to describe in a few words; Tranquil… Heavenly…Peaceful… Serene…Spiritual…Beautiful.

Swimming in the water on the luxurious beach is heaven on earth. The water is calm and crystal clear aqua blue. It is warm and once you are in the water you never want to get out. It takes all your troubles away! Coco Point Lodge is a gem in the middle of the Caribbean and one can only experience it’s uniqueness by going there and relaxing into the aura of this special place.

“I go back every year!!”

Every year for the past 5 years my family and I have been going to Coco Point. It truly is a special place. The staff is fantastic, the food is great, and the rooms are comfortable and cozy. If you are looking for a relaxing, stress free vacation, Coco Point Lodge Barbuda is the place to go. Every year that we go back we see old friends, and make new ones. Last year we brought along my 12 year old daughters friend, and she fell in love with it too. We are bringing her friend back with us this year, and they are both so excited.

  • Liked — It was so relaxing and comfortable.
  • Disliked — I cant say that there was anything i didnt like.

“Extraordinary!”

This was our seventh visit to Coco Point compliments of my extraordinary parents. In a hectic, responsiblility laden life this resort is just the ticket for restorative, rejuvination. The staff and services are beyond reproach and the dining follows suit. Norman, the head chef is a gift....every meal a treat. From Devon and Bentham at the bar to Anne Marie in the office and all the other wonderful staff members, thank you for making me feel as the most special guest you've had...Glenford in the dining room, etc...if it is physically possible they will accomodate any request.. Don't be detered by the lack of accutraments (sp?)..you will adjust to not having a telephone, clock, or tv...it's wonderfully refreshing...they do offer wifi if you can't live without comm to others..

The sand on the private beach is like silk and the breeze and sun a constant....

  • Liked — The service and friendliness of the staff/food..etc
  • Disliked — No pool...

in short, this was our third year traveling with 2 other couples.we decided to go to barbuda, a breathtaking beautiful island 20 miles off antigua. We stayed in a 4-bedroom beach house, 50 yards from the pink beaches of the resort known as coco pont. The hospitality and service from the coco point staff was above proffesional .Our breakfast was brought and served to us at our house every morning. We weren"t done being spoiled because after playing tennis, skit shooting, deep sea fishing, water skiing, snorkling, tubing, bird watching.booze cruising etc, etc, we walked under the barbudian stars along the turquoise ocean to the coco point lodge to eat dinner prepared by a 5 star chef.On our way home,we all said this was by far our best trip and we plan to rebook. Just a side note, my wife still has not unpacked her suit case from march!!
