Anyone looking to go to aruba and have that perfect spot on the beach, that quiet and peace you long for.. Look no further, this is by far the best resort on the island.. Staff first class.. Directly on the beach with what makes you feel like you're own slice of heaven. This resort has gotten it right.. I will come back for years to come.. Look no further..

“Bucuti”

We are just back from another wonderful stay at the Bucuti. For me what distinguishes the Bucuti and why it gets so many excellent reviews (and why we've returned for each of the last 6 years) isn't the beach, which is absolutely spectacular, it isn't the accomodations, which are terrific, it is the staff and management. A stay at the Bucuti is an experience you won't soon forget. Everyone is so accomodating, friendly and genuinely warm. The list of the outstanding Bucuti team is long: Orville, Beverly, Kay, Marina, Juan Carlos, Georgia, Aldrick, Nakari and many, many more. They go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. They care about their guests. For me there is simply no better place to stay in Aruba.

“Absolutely wonderful!”

I can't say enought about the Bucuti! It was a fabulous trip from the minute we arrived until we, sadly, had to leave.
We were greeted by the manager before we reached the lobby, and escorted into the check in area. Instead of standing in line somewhere, we were offered champagne, cool damp face towels, and comfy seats. We were informed of all of the amenities (including free wifi on the entire resort) and locations of everything. They refilled our champagne as we headed to our room.
The rooms were comfortable and nice. We did not notice any smell as other reviews have stated. There was a humidifier in the room that made some noise, but not any more than the air purifier I have at home. We had a garden view room. It overlooked some trees with a parking lot behind the trees - if that is a problem for you, stay in the Tara building which directly overlooks the beach. It wasn't a problem for us. There was a nicely appointed mini bar in our room, but we didn't use it. Instead, we stopped at the gift shop and got a bottle of wine and some beer, which we kept in the refrigerator. A nice touch was the wine glasses in the room - I hate drinking my wine out of a water glass! Another nice thing was the microwave and utensils in the room, so I could enjoy my leftovers!
The beach: aaaahhh! Clean, quiet, beautiful! There were always enough palapas for everyone. The ones right by the waters' edge are prime so we did get up early one morning to put our towels on one of them (early being 8ish), and one morning we just lucked out and got one around 11am. The cushy seats at the pool never fill up so they are
also always available. The beach servers walk around and give out flags that you stand up in the sand whenever you want food or drinks delivered right to your lounge chair. Some mornings they even walked around with cool wet towels - nice touch. I have to mention Orville and Angelo (bar, beach service) were outstanding, prompt, courteous, and so friendly.
The included daily breakfast buffet was good. The food is in a covered area, then you bring your food out to tables right on the beach. How can you beat breakfast in the morning sun staring at the carribean! Included was eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes, fruits, salmon, breads, pastries, etc. Never had to wait in line and never a problem getting a table. Dinner is also served here.
The bar - best location ever! Right on the beach, beautiful sunset view. Happy hour is from 4-6 and 9-10 daily with half price frozen and mixed drinks with steel drum players. We met so many fun people there and, believe me, those drinks are not watered down!
We ventured down to the high rise area one day, and it was like "spring break". The palapas are on top of each other and, from what I heard, you have to get up at 5 or 6 am to even get one. That's not my idea of a vacation. There were also so many kids around. Don't get me wrong, I love kids - even have my own, but I didn't feel like dealing with them on this vacation. There are no kids allowed at the Bucuti and it was enforced.
One recommendation: we reserved private dinner on the beach. It was so romantic and very reasonably priced - do it!
This is just the perfect place to go for a quite, restful vacation. We were treated like we were royalty, and that is what means the most to me at a resort - I dont like to feel like i am just a number. I have no complaints whatsoever, and I will definitely be going back. Loved it.

“Wonderful surprise!”

We were in Aruba for a conference that was held at one of the high rise hotels and wanted something nicer. From the TA reviews, the nice chain where our conference was held was said to be nice, but overly crowded at the beach and pool and since "kids stay free", too many kids. From the reviews on Trip Advisor and the hotels web site, we choose Bucuti. It was a great decision. The Bucuti is VERY environmentally aware and gives guest an aluminum water bottle at check in. They have water coolers all over the property and request that you use as little plastic as possible since the island does not have facilities to recycle plastics, They provide containers to sort trash on the property and in your rooms. They have switched to all LED lighting. I was most impressed!!

The service was impeccable. From the front desk, to the concierge , to the bar and restaurant, to the maids it was unobtrusive and well done. This is a very well run establishment.

Though we usually go to St. Barths, if we are ever on Aruba again, this is the only place I would consider.

The only warning is to book early. Most of the other guest there had been coming for 15 to 20 years and rebook the same room/suites yearly. Most of them stay for three to four weeks. That alone was impressive.

Room Tip: You do not want to face the parking lot side of the Bucuti. Choose the beach facing or the garden f...

Just returned and we had exactly what we expected, and more! The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms were quiet and clean. Note that the "bar food" is better than expected, and quite reasonably priced. It's a good option for lunch, or a casual dinner.
