My husband and I recently spent two weeks at this resort and had a fantastic time. The accommodations are beautiful....roomy, tastefully appointed, and very practical.T,here was a large amount of construction around the pool but noise was pretty controlled and view was blocked off. Easy to see it will be well worth while when completed.
Lost a lot of beach this past year which really decreases its' depth. However, the beautiful water is still amazing and well worth the trip. I will never get tired of Carribean water. they rake the beach and keep it as clean as possible. Obtaining a hut is not too difficult. Need to be there at 7am to sign up if you want one close to water. Others can be obtained as late as 9am. Pool huts are taken between 7 and 9 am...again the closer to the water you wish, the earlier you need to be there. Can be gone for a 2 hour period without loosing possessions. However, never saw a security guard collect anyone's belongings at pool if gone for more than 2 hours. The pool itself was lovely and very clean but wish it was larger. Fun activities during day such as water aerobics, volleyball, and a wide platform in middle of pool that all the kids loved. Pool was VERY clean as was the whole resort.
The lobby bar was very enjoyable. Great drinks at happy hour ( not watered down as were the ones at the beach bar during happy hour). It was nice to stop here on way back to room for a "nightcap". Armando, the bartender, was also great and made delicious "mudslides".
Food at the turtle' s nest was excellent. We were amazed that more people did not eat there. Prices were also reasonable as Aruba's prices go. Staff was fantastic. Servers could not be more helpful but Edwin (? name..the manager) was incredible. He knows how to do customer service. Went out of his way to be of assistance. He should be running the front desk.
The only staff we encountered that was NOT polite and helpful were at the front desk. They absolutely acted as if they were doing you a favor by assisting you. It was really amazing.
Upon check out we filled out the satisfaction questionaire and handed it to a manager. She stated she would get back to us as we told her we had some concerns (we had asked to be contacted via e-mail in the questionaire). Two months are passing and we have not heard anything. Of course it was the "front desk" manager who accepted the survey!
Wifi reception is sadly lacking. You must purchase a card (which is most irritating) and then have to hunt for a place to get decent reception. If using in your unit, very variable. Most frustrating.
Overall we were very satisfied with most everything at costa linda. We hope to return next year and can hope the front desk staff will have an attitude improvement.
