I was pleasantly surprised at the Radisson Aruba. Booked a bit late so couldn't get into the Hyatt. Radisson was the next best according to a friend. Everything happens for a reason! I was much happier at the Radisson. Don't get me wrong, we ate a few lunches at the Hyatt (just 3 hotels down) but the Radisson beach was so much bigger and you could reserve Palapalas in advance for only $25 which is a great deal. We are a family of 6-they had 8 towels, 6 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs and a small table set up for us every morning. Great service! If you don't want to pay the $25, you can get one for free at 4:00pm for the next day. We opted to pay because the quiet end of the beach wasn't available. Small downside is the left end of the beach is next to a public access so that was crowded.
casino was sufficient, not fancy but definately enough. Food was good at beach restaurant and service was great. Great 2 for 1 happy hour. Prices for drinks were very resonable. I hate to pay $8 for a virgin daquiri for my kids-here was only $4. I think thats pretty good.
Rooms recently renovated. Beautiful with comfy beds, great cotton sheets and down comforters. I hate a "bedspread"!
Lots to do on the beach. Will definately come back to Aruba.
