Nice, calm surrounding in a good part of Oranjestad, Near to beach, scuba and good restaurants. Very nice managment and staff. Great garden with beautiful tree's and plant, and with great animals in it. The swimmingpool is small but kept in top shape.

Stayed here in July for just over three weeks in an apartment with one bedroom with living room and kitchen. Fresh and always cleaned well, nice and well kept garden. Wonderful staff. Lovely little pool to take an evening swim in but it was too much for families with children who were there during that period when we were there. Then it was a bit far from Oranjestad so a car is recommended. Missing is a bar nearby that spontaneously to go to.

We have stayed at the Camacuri residence both in December 2008 and December 2009. Both times we have traveled with our young daughter. It is a terrific place much to our liking as a quiet, continental residence with pool and facilities as well as easy access to the beach. As we have gotten to know the island, we enjoy the flexibility that the rooms give us in preparing some of our own meals or snacks as well as having something always at the ready for a small child.

We very much enjoy the quiet atmosphere as well as the family environment. A little knowledge of the back roads, acquired quickly, helps very much in avoiding the downtown traffic jams.

Again, a terrific place, very caring and consummately professional staff and terrific value.

We spent a week in Camacuri Residence with our 2 and 5 yr old. The quiet surroundings, with close proximity to the beach (and complimentary beach chairs and utilities at Papa's beach club, 5 min walk) combined with an attractive swimmingpool and BBQ unit, and studio appartments that are cleaned daily (except sunday), will give you all the relaxing you need.

The staff is wonderful, very helpful and tries in every way to make your stay comfortable. This hideaway has respectful guests who all keep quiet and so partyanimals are frowned upon. Sleeping in this quiet part of Oranjestad means waking up to the sound of the roaming chickens, and even though the cushions were a little soft for me (didn't ask if they have other ones available), it was comfortable.

One thing you do need to understand is, that the warm water is produced the Aruban way : Heated by the sun. This means that you better shower in the evening to get the warmer water and use it wisely.

A car or taxi is needed to provide yourself with food, and to see the island. Van service is not available.

Overall, a great quiet secure spot to recharge. Enjoy !
