“Unbelievable Value and Quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 March 2011

I was skeptical at first the value of my 2 bed/2 bath condo. Certain reviews got me a little worried. But to my delight and surprise, the condo was absolutely perfect. Modern and clean and the property is very well-maintained and secured. The residences are the best looking in the area - no way it looks dilapidated or dated. I stayed in the racquet building - with the "city" view which is actually a view of a bankrupt water park but really who cares? I'm here to enjoy the beach, the pools (zero-entry a bonus for young children), the non-snowy weather - for a third of the price of an overpriced high-rise hotel, I'll take it! The location can't be beat - in the middle of the south shore of the island, we can go to the tourist-trap high-rise area or head east to baby beach. Can't wait to return!

“Enjoyed Our Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2011

We enjoyed our stay but with a few caveats. First, our condo itself was wonderful (and we received a good deal on the price). It was new with nice amenities. The layout worked well for our family and the extra futon chair/bed in our condo was an added benefit. The view was very nice and we generally enjoyed sitting on our porch (although, there were a few South American extended families who own condos there - and they were often celebrating late- so we rarely had a quiet evening out on our patio - but it was interesting). The pools close at 8 at night. The pools were very large and, during our summertime trip, they were so warm that it wasn't refreshing. The kids loved the pools though. The ocean was the perfect temperature. Eagle Beach is across the street and it was quiet and beautiful. The location of this complex is very good- we rented a car and it was never too far to drive to the places we wanted to go. Security regularly patrolled the property. Note that there was unfinished construction next door (a large building in close proximity) -which you should inquire about if you're considering this complex.

“Unbelievable Accomodations across from best beach on Island - Eagle Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2011

Worked with Mario to book our first floor condo thru VRBO. Transaction was very relaxed - he met us at unit - answered questions and we were off to have one of the best vacations of our lives.

“Not for the Perfectionist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2011

The Good

Unit 244 was clean and fresh, bedding was great, unit was well-equipped with and as described. The complex was secure and clean. The view was spectacular, and the beach is gorgeous and uncrowded. There is a nice mix of Venezuelans and Americans.

The Bad

The electrical systems were unreliable. We had several outages during the week we were there lasting from ½ hour to several hours. We received a notice from the building that the outages were due to overload because of heavy usage, but one outage was at 2 a.m. and the buildings were not fully occupied, so it seems systemic.

Wifi was erratic at best and only one connection is allowed per unit.

The complex is quite noisy – you can hear your neighbors in their units and all activities outside. The a/c and washer/dryer are also quite noisy.

In summary: we had a great time but this is not a place for perfectionists or people sensitive to noise. Our unit was great for us, but I can understand the negative reviews.

“Excellent place for a peaceful vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2010

Just stayed 1 week at the Oceania resort with my wife and 2 kids. The place was very spacious and the location was excellent. It is a short walk to eagle beach which is the best beach on Aruba to stay on. Not crowded, nice sand, and the ocean was fabulous. The resort is fairly quiet with mostly older crowd, which was fine with me. We had a private rooftop area that was great for relaxing in the evening. There are several very nice swimming pools not that we spent too much time there since the ocean was like a great big swimming pool.
