The Vistalmar apartments were a wonderful way to experience Aruba. They included a full bathroom, bedroom with King bed, living area with pullout sofa bed, balcony with ocean view, and kitchen with full fridge sink and range. The apartments also offered a great deal on a rental car and free airport pick up and drop off. The apartment is cleaned daily and includes access to a waterfront pier and kayaks 100ft from the apartment.

The location is central for those looking to experience all of Aruba. If you travel on a budget, and want hosts that can point you towards some of the best attractions and resturants, this is the place for you.

Katy and Alby were phenomenal hosts, available and always willing to point you towards the best parts of Aruba.

Our family stayed at the Vistalmar over the holidays and had a fantastic time. These apartments are roomy and well equiped and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Katy and Alby are the owners and live on site and were very helpful in letting us know where to go and what to do and suggestions of places to eat, etc. It is not in the "hotel" area which we see as a plus. Our friends stayed in the high rise area and were annoyed by the crowds and noise. Our place was quiet and uncrowded with a beautiful view of the water and a private deck area for sunning. The apartments are very affordable and they even have cars there that you can rent saving hassle at the airport - they come and pick you up 5 minutes after you call. If you're used to staying at a fancy hotel you probably won't like it, but if you like vacation rentals and having your own kitchen, etc., you're going to love it here.

Katy and Alby are great hosts. Their hospitality and warmth made our stay very comfortable. They picked us up at the airport and thought of all the things we would need as we had reached on Christmas day and everything would be closed. We had a chilled bottle of champagne for us to celebrate the holiday and the refrigerator was stocked with milk, bread, eggs, cheese, fruits, juices and meat. We also had the pantry full of cookes, pasta, sauces, coffee, tea, etc. Katy made sure we knew all the things 'to do' while we were in Aruba. The house is clean, comfortable and spacious. We were four of us and each had their own bedroom with attached bath. A home away from home.

My fiance and I decided to give the Vistalmar a try, after my best friend had stayed there with his wife, and as I trusted him very much, I felt it to be a great choice.

We stayed at there for a week, and had a great experiance. Katy and Alby the owners definately go out of there way to help in any way the can, and really give the Vistalmar it's personal touch. I believe you get no less then what you pay for, so it is value for money. I have to add, that each person may have there own expectations, and Adri and I, being in the aviation field are used to staying at a variety of hotels and accomadation including 5 star hotels, but the Vistalmar is a home away from home. It would be a mistake to call it what it's not, but it has personality.

What no one can plan for is the weather, and that to our despair was not on our side. When it rains, then the next worst thing are mosquitos, and there were alot, but we made the most of every minute of sunshine.

Accomadation, cleanliness, comfort and privacy, well we certainly can't complain. Aircraft noise, we're used to it, so to us it wasn't an issue.

Staying at the Vistalmar means you want to explore the island, so we do recomend a car - Alby and Katy can sort that out for you. If you requirement is not for a 5 star hotel then the Vistalmar will give you a quaint accomadation which has all the comfort you need.
