The Ocean Inn is a relaxing quiet setting in which to get away from it all. Our host Robert was most helpful in anything we needed. Our room #6 was very clean with the most awesome pillows in which to sleep on after a day on the beach watching the sailboats come and go. Breakfast included great coffee, fruit and different pastries. The only thing missing was protein of some sort. I bought a small jar of peanut butter from the harbor store and made my own protein with PB toast/bananas. Every staff member was so friendly esp. Doreen and Mr. Brooks. Mr. Brooks gave us a great tour of the many fruit trees/plants on site. The pool is a great ending to the day where you can raid the honesty bar.
We spent alot of time in the harbor area taking in the feel of the yachting world. Great places to eat are the Pizzeria, the Mexican restaurant and Trappas. Our best time was spent ziplining through the rainforest which Robert arranged for us on the spur of the moment. Not to be missed! We also enjoyed Nelson's Dockyard. Great history and a Colonial Williamsburg feel to it. There are a few small places to eat there with great atomosphere. Our trip into St. Johns via city bus ($3.75) was fun for a day trip but the Harbor is where we felt more at home. We enjoyed being part of the laid back, no frills atmosphere the Harbor has to offer. We would definitely stay at the Ocean Inn again, a most enjoyable trip for both of us.
