My son, aged 17, and I went to Hermitage Bay to have a relaxing break away. The surroundings are beautiful, gardens immaculately kept and the beach is quiet and tranquil, no piped music, just the sound of the waves and no hard sell from beach vendors, just a lovely lady called Claudia selling home made jewellery made out of shells, wood and stones.
Our suites were excellent and the maid service ensured my son's room stayed immaculate despite clothes being dropped on the floor. While he took time out to study for exams in his suite I was relaxing on the beach being brought cooling drinks and chilled fresh fruit - just bliss.
The evenings were a delight, the bar and dining area are transformed with candles and make a lovely backdrop to cocktails and a delicious dinner. The food is excellent and the choices are wide ranging and all beautifully cooked and presented.
The staff are the true stars of this beautiful resort, they are welcoming, friendly, fun and yet professional - they are a very special part of my memory of this lovely holiday.
I hope to return one day.
