I found Dove Cove by accident & I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Antigua. I think its in the perfect location, about 5 mins. drive from the center of St. Johns, a hired car is a must, not only if you are staying at Dove Cove but it makes it so much easier to take in the whole island. The pool wasn't in operation when I was there either but the beach, well there are two beaches about 10 mins. walk away so a pool is not all that necessary. Milliars By The Sea is just a 5 min walk down the hill and I had the Snapper there just about every day of my stay.

The staff & Dove Cove were very nice to talk to, pleasant & very helpful & it was genuine, ppl onthe island are generally very friendly & you can tell that they really want to help, even if they are the worst ppl in the world @ giving directions.

The Room at Dove Cove was simple & clean, very clean & the kitchenette was more than adequate, I was very commfortable there and I am hoping to be back this yr.

We did not enjoy our brief (one night) stay at Dove Cove. We found out when we arrived that the pool was not in operation, which was the primary reason we booked the place. The room was older and the hotel itself is kind of remote. We prefer to be closer to the beach if there's no pool. They DID refund our money and helped us find another accomodation at the last minute so that was a nice touch. We definitely would not recommend this place unless the pool was in operation.

I Had the great pleasure of discoving a treasure in Antigua! The Dove Cove Hotel was perfect for our family vacation to Antigua. As we discovered while touring the island, the resort hotels really cater to couples not families. Dove Cove was in a great location (if you rent a car) and had everything we needed. We are a family of 5 and had a 2 bedroom with a kitchen. We grocery shopped in Jolly Harbour for all the things we needed for all our meals. Housekeeping was wonderful about coming only when we needed them and getting us anything we needed at any time. The office staff was very friendly. They were fun to check in with when we had questions about where to go and what to do. I loved looking out my door and seeing the goats, cows and horses. I highly recommmend this hotel!!!
