Although it was some time ago, April 2000, my wife and I stayed at Sandpiper Reef for 14 nights at Eastertime that year. We booked through Thomsons on an all inclusive deal and it was fantastic. I don't think you can get all inclusive now, so I would expect it to be very expensive on an other board basis. The reception we received was great, even though it was a small hotel, 24 rooms as I remember. The room we had was large with a refrigerator and kingsize bed. The meals were fantastic as were the staff except for one lady called Angela who was a character but she was entertaining with her lack of charm and made up for the lack of entertainment which consisted of a steel band once or twice during the two weeks. The sunbeds were hard, made of wood with no mattresses and the wind was incessant, but after a few days we did not notice it. We did hire a jeep from Avis, the standard of the vehicle was frightening considering the profile of the company, but it made the excursion a real adventure. We would not hesitate to stay there again at the right price but I think it would be too expensive for us now, but I may be wrong. We paid £2500.00 for the 14 nights on all inclusive in 2000. I hope this helps anyone who may want to stay there as well as the proprietors who deserve to have people stay there.
