We were allocated to this Hotel by a Virgin cancelled flight. All I can say about this place is I was waiting for the camera's to appear and say "Got you". Upon arriving fellow passengers were arguing with the night porter who did not have a clue what he was doing and was not the least bit interested in us, upon him phoning the supervisor we were told he refused to come out.
Fellow passengers were coming back down to reception to ask for towels, light bulbs etc. My family were very distressed to be allocated a room No 217 that had the ceiling on the floor water comping in, the bed legs was broken and the mattress had all kinds of stains on it, no linen and a floor that had not seen a sweep for a long time. When we complained we were just laughed at. The ladies in the group were very upset, we did not know where we were, it was 2am local teenagers were hanging around and one was asleep in reception (i do have a photo to add at a later date). Another passenger left with us when we spent an hour phoning other hotels to find somewhere to stay and eventually another Hotel sent a taxi for us. We had no assistance from either Virgin or Thomas Cook, we felt totally isolated and alone in a foreign country.
