“One night in Paradise!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

Lovely hotel located right on the beach with lovely views over the bay. We stayed in a beach front room which had a lovely verandah complete with loungers and a hammock and step on to the beach...highly recommended. The staff here were really friendly and very helpful. The night we stayed the restaurant adjacent the hotel has just changed hands we did stay for bbq dinner which was great however the breakfast wasn't so good... still I think the staff where still finding their feet! The rooms are clean and air conditioned. The kitchen is well equipped and each room has a large refrigerator. The bathrooms although not huge are well equipped too. It is a short taxi ride into Falmouth Harbour takes around 10 minutes for $20. There is also a small supermarket a short walk away for all your provision needs. There is also a very small swimming pool. Would recommend this place!

“Love Antigua”

We just returned from Antigua. We stayed at the Catamaran Hotel and it was wonderful. The place is spotless. The staff are great and very friendly. There is free internet in the main office or if you bring your computer, you can use it in your room. All rooms have a great balcony with a view of the ocean. It's close to many restaurants in English Harbour. If you want a nice relaxing holiday, away from the all inclusive hotels, this is the place. Definitely rent a car so that you can check out all the beaches.

We'll definitely be back.

“nice people”

We stayed in a beachfront room and a friend of ours stayed in the superior room. I would recommend the superior room or better since the beachfront room was not as nice - the bathroom was much smaller, the furniture was "weathered" and there was little privacy since the door to the room opened directly onto the main level and beach (with people passing by). Also, in our room, the stove did not really work. However, I am still rating our stay as a four because our experience there was pleasurable. There were nice touches such as fresh flowers in the room; housekeeping was detail oriented (in fact they noticed I had moved a floor mat to the kitchenette area and next morning brought an additional mat for that area); the cook prepared us a sandwich even though the restaurant was closed for a function; and so on.

The little beach was pleasant and the yachts docked near by added to the ambiance. There was plenty of parking. The restaurant was convenient (although they did not have some of the items listed on the menu). All in all, this is a quaint little place with a nice staff who tries.

“A wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2009

A wonderful experience where you arrive as guests and leave as friends. We were lucky enough to be able to spend three weeks at the Catamaran in October and have nothing but praise for the owner and staff of this little gem of a hotel. From when we arrived, to be welcomed by a smiling Ron, until we left it was a joy. We like to be out and about when we are on holiday and found this hotel to be a good base to achieve this and with the added advantage of being able to relax in the air conditioned room, where you can prepare your own food if you wish, or cool down in the compact but very clean swimming pool. A tropical storm hit Antigua while we were there and Feona (the owner) and her staff kept us supplied with food and beverages throughout. I cant really do justice to how we felt seeing Feona and her merry group of staff struggling through torrential rain and winds to bring us supplies - definately beyond the call of duty. All the staff were extremely friendly, eager to help and Sharons continental breakfast was a treat. If you like the big all inclusive hotels then the Catamaran is not for you but if you want to feel part of the real Antiguan experience with real Antiguan people you will not be disappointed. Would we return to the Catamaran? Most definately!
