As a party of six, Ages from Grandparents to four years old.
We stayed in Bay House, Hamilton Estate, Valley Road, (The Yellow One)
We were thrilled with the loaction, the beaches within a three minute drive are fantastic.(Ffryes & Darkwood)
The Villa is clean, air conditioned in each room all three bedrooms are en-suite and generlly has all the basics for a comfortable relaxing holiday. The pool is a good size and is clean and very warm!
Don't drink the tap water as it is locally not advised and is a disgusting colour!
Located near to Jolly Harbour Marina (about one mintue by car) there's a well stocked supermarket, pharmacy, shops/offices & petrol station etc.
The gardens are mature, well kept and surrounded by luch hillside. The local wildlife & a few cattle occasionally wander past along with the odd local selling pineapples!
If you want to get out & about a car is essential and we used the neighbouring Tropical Rentals as recommended by the Villa.
Compared to elsewhere in the world we found the Antiguan people on average are not particualrly friendly infact most were fairly surly unless they want to sell you something or are employed by the tourist industy & have been trained to be plesant to the tourist $$$!
The villa has Robert a very helpful local man who settles you in and explains where everything is including the villa mobile which makes local calls (bookings etc) much cheaper than using a UK mobile.
The Villa was cleaned once during our two week stay (only when chased to do so), the pool & garden were maintained twice.
The Wi-Fi only worked on one day, it works from Apt 4 in the house two doors away and just would not connect, Robert was unable to fix as the owners of the router were not available. It wasn't essiential but it was very annoying as we wanted to check-in online for our journey home. Robert said it often does not work.

We stayed at Coco House this February - what a holiday!

Any apprehension I had about renting an 'unknown' on the internet was dismissed as soon as we arrived. We were met by Yasmine who showed us around the villa and explained everything. The Villa was everything we expected, but more so - the photos don't do it justice. Everything was immaculate, very clean and well stocked.
One nice touch was the mobile phone left for our use - it saved a fortune over using our UK registered one on the local calls for taxis etc.
The large veranda was shaded and perfect for breakfast and, in the evenings, for our regular BBQ's. During the day it was difficult to get out of the pool and to the beach! But what a beach; absolutely picture postcard perfect, pristine with white powder sand and pure blue sea.
Coco House is part of a small private estate, comprisising 3 villas and a Caribbean style house with 4 apartments. There is good privacy and the Sugar Ridge Hotel next door offers 2 quality restaurants on your doorstep.
It is hard to fault Coco House, but I would not recommend it. The reason for this is that we would rather it remain a secret, so in future we can enjoy it just for ourselves - yes we will be rebooking. Seriously, go and you will not be disappointed

You book a villa for some privacy and relaxation..... which is just not available at these villas.

Since complaining to the management the website description has been changed - it previously described villas on a quiet picturesque hillside - in fact they are at the bottom of a hill right on a noisy main road with very limited (but admitedly far reaching) views.

On the one day we did spend any time at the villa by the pool the gardener was constantly present and the managers visited twice to do something inside the villa - No privacy at all! One day we even returned to find one of the gardeners clothes on the verandah and the gardener sitting on one of the sun loungers!

As for he landscaped gardens... maybe in 10 years time?

If you want quiet privacy this isn't for you!
