My wife and I stayed for the better part of a week at the Ferryboat Inn in January 2011. We found this to be an excellent base for day trips and a wonderful relaxing spot to loaf around on do-nothing days. The staff are great - Marjorie is not only a great host but an interesting and intelligent lady to chat with. The rooms were clean and roomy. Book early to get a room with a nice view from the balcony. The beach is superb, although there are occasional disturbances when the ferry comes in - but not a big deal. The beach goes on and on and on toward the west and is powdery, white coral sand - put on the 50 sunblock and get the sunglasses on - it will knock your eyeballs out. The food at the FBI was great and Christian's rum punch is approaching legendary status. Exercise caution!
