if youre looking for a relaxing time away from the scene this is the place for you. We found the hotel beautiful, amazing beaches and friendly staff. The rooms are classic by design and very roomy with unobstructed views of the water. If I had any criticism about the hotel i would say the restrauaunt was way over priced and very quiet due in part to the prices and the newer hip hotel down the street, the viceory. Parts of the hotel are getting tired too and could do with a make over. However if youre looking to get away from the Miami/New York scene (The viceory) and looking for an Island experience this is the place for you

My husband and I just returned from the Malliouhana Hotel and we thought it was wonderful. I don't understand the negative reviews. It may not be a 5 star hotel but def. a 3 or 4. It is very quiet though so if you are looking for night life, this is not the place for you. The room and service was great. The place was very pretty, the beach beautiful. The manager, Bart was great and everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. We ate dinner at the hotel which was good but you must go to Blanchard's for dinner- one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. It was a great vacation and we will def. go back to Anguilla

We recently spent a week at malliohana with our 2 young children and had a fabulous time. The location was perfect (close to many great other restaurants and beaches) and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the smaller atmosphere and personal feel than some of the bigger and more expensive resorts. The kids area included a playground, water slide, and kids pool that our kids loved....it was hard to get them away! We would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to others.

This hotel is just awful. It certainly is not a 5 star hotel, maybe a 3 star, if that. We just returned from a five day trip at this hotel and we are so disappointed. Our room had a clogged shower that flooded the bathroom along with ants in the room. We complained to the hotel and asked to leave the hotel and were told the owner, who lives on the property, would not release our funds. Had I known then that we could have disputed this with our credit card company and switched hotels on our own, we would have done that. Instead the hotel offered us a different room. Although this room seemed a little more updated than the original room, we still had ants in our room and NO air conditioning in the bathroom. Also, the power kept going out. This was not the relaxing vacation we thought it would be. We talked with some locals and it's no secret that Malliouhana is not what it used to be--the owner has let it go and actually has it on the market for sale. One of the employees of the hotel told us they were only half full--they used to be full a lot, but not anymore. This hotel is riding on outdated reviews and old 5 star ratings that I'm sure at some point it's going to lose. We toured Cap Jaluca and Cuisinart--both beautiful properties, rooms and location. We are definitely going back to Anguilla, but will never stay at Malliouahana again.
