“Good - but noisy - family holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We had a good (not great) holiday at the didim beach resort. Good points, the hotel itself is lovely, great position, loads to do. Food and drink always available, entertainment every evening for kids and adults. Water slides looked after well with lifeguards there all the time.

Bad points - if you want peace and quiet, this is not the hotel for you. The music around the pool starts at 10am and finishes at 6pm. Not necessarily a bad thing but does grate a bit after a few days. Entertainment team constantly on the lookout for "fresh girls", others dont necessarily get the attenetion they should. Some of the staff a little on the grumpy side. The entertainment goes on till midnight and is just the other side of the pool to the main hotel. Its loud and can be heard in the room we were in even through closed patio doors etc. Not a place for an early night if you need to get up early the next morning to get some sunbeds (and yes that is how bad it is - if you're not there by 7am you will not get a sunbed).

All in all a nice holiday. Would we go back again - maybe. It depends what you want out of a holiday.

my self my husband and three children stayed here in sept 2010 (sorry review is a little late lol) we found the hotel to meet all of our requirments hotel is very clean and spacious, there is a hairdressers and shop in hotel aswell as beauty / spa are treat yourself to a turkish bath its a must you get afternoon coffee also, our family room also very clean and spacious modern flat screen tv with sataliette not just news channels haha you could watch true movies even get music channels although we didnt watch a lot of tv still was nice if we fancied going to our room a little early there was some noise from the disco however when our balcony doors were shut it didnt really bother us and our 3 young children slept through it so not really a great problem pools very clean although sometimes a little chilly it was refreshing and nice to cool down the food we found nice and plentyfull and there was always fresh breads etc made very tasty indeed tables were always cleaned . the entertainment was a good laugh and caterd for all ages animation did try very hard slides were excellent . never went to the beach so cant really comment on that although we heard a few people say it was a little bit of a steep walk however dolphin square is only a 10min walk (where all the shops bars etc are) there was a large nice clean beach there. be prepared to haggle with pretty much everything you can get some pretty good deals would highly recommend going on a boat trip lovely day we stayed in the main hotel was fab hope you all have a much of a good time as we had happy holidays !!

Room Tip: ask to be high up may avoid some noise

Loved it love altinkum been many times. The didum beach resort was all inclusive and the food was very good. The hotel is very impressive and the rooms are larger than average. Went in May 2010 would go back anytime.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less A/C unit noise

“Mostly good but some improvements needed”

The hotel itself is lovely its is very clean and looks magnificant from the inside and out. The pools and beach are nice and the waterslides in the complex are fun. The food could do with having a bit more variety as i struggled to find things to eat nearer the end of the holiday. Also because the hotel is so big their are not enough sunbed to go around which mean we did not have a sun lounger on some days which was slightly frustrating. Overall however it was a nice holiday but not a holiday to go on if you want a quiet retreat.

“such a good holiday!! you need to go!”

when we first arrived at the hotel cause we came with four familys 3 of them was in the elagance hotel and we was in the main hotel, and then when we got to the room which was (504) there was only 2 beds for 3 of us? but as the holiday progressed we started enjoing it more there was fab water slides for the kid, the kids made a lot of friends out there.
you had so much choice of food and all the staff are so polite and friendly. also there was a games room which the kids loved andf a hairdresser where all us girlies had some braids done, there was good pool side entertainment and lots of compitions, the ampitheartre was greaaat!!! they had such exciting stuff such as karakoe a mamma mia night and also comedys and some bingoo! we went to town alot where the buses stop right outside the hotel and its about 10 mins to town and is very cheap! we also went on some day trips we went on a lovely open roof cruise which helped get a great tan the also stopped off at the beachs around turkeyso you could have a dive! we also went on a trip to dalayan to visit the tombs and the turtles which was amazingg! the only problem was that it was at 3 hour jorney there and a 3 hour journey back:/ i highly recommend the photo shoot we had some beautiful pictures taken there! its free aswell you just have to pay for the photos you like and want if you dont want any of them its fine anyway you still dont have to pay, but the photographer called musta bean, he got on with the kids so well anfd he was so friendly and all the staff were so polite, there was an ice cream bar for the kids ONLY but i got the kids to sneak me one of two there is also a fair 5 min walk down the road its sooo worth going to the rides are awsomee and is very cheap, also the maids in our hotel (the main one) was so niceeee, we had one maid she was very young and very nice she done our beds nicely and decorated them and she'd get us anything we wanted so we tipped her £30 and she was over the mooon, nothing really bad to say bout this holiday was all GOOD!! GOOOD!!! GOOOOOOOOOD!!! hope you go to didm beach resort best holiday everr!

Room Tip: the main buildings rooms are alot quiter, but the elagance has got a better view
