The hotel was clean and comfortable with staff going out of their way to be kind and helpful.
The food was great with the chef creating exceptional vegetarian dishes.
All staff were friendly and were happy to book excursions and give advice on the local area.
Overall we were very happy with the whole Hotel Vicko experience.

We stayed in Vicko in early season. We chose in the "villa" part. The view was great (the house - not really a villa! - is situated on the beach). I specifically asked about the heating, since it was chilly and rainy outside. The receptionist confirmed that the heating works properly - but it did not. Luckily we had enough blankets.

The room is very basic, TV had such a bad signal that we could not watch it. The heating system was not working at all (I do not know how is it with cooling). Breakfast was great though and the view from breakfast room was nice, too.

Overall the price is much to high for what we were getting. Be ware: the prices listed in reception desk are PER PERSON and NOT PER ROOM! So we thought we will pay for one night + breakfast for two persons 47€, we ended up paying almost a hundred! In early may!!

When I complained about the heating I was just told: "We had it serviced, it should work." The guy did not even check it out. We were very unhappy with the managers' reaction to our complaint.

They advertise their doublas at up to 56 euro in Links und Rechts der Autobahn.
Upon arrival the price is 80 euro and up for a camped room overlooking a garbage dump.
The whole place has long passed its best before date.
The owner is very rude and outright unhelpful.

The staff was so helpful and a wealth of knowledge about the area and the Paklenica National Park. They provided us with many suggestions and brouchures of things to do and ways to do them. They explained numerous hiking routes in the National Park and how long each would take and which ones a lone person could safely do and which ones it was important to have a buddy.
The breakfas was excellen with many choices of foods including: Sausage, several types of breads and several types of pastries, lunch meats, sliced cheeses, homemade jellies/preserves as well as ones in individual glass jars and the plastic individual ones too. Even the scrambled eggs with bits of bacon or ham in the eggs were very good, and I'm a real skeptic for eggs on a buffet! There were also several types of cereals, juices, a coffee machine that does hot chocolate, mochiato, expresso, capucino, white coffee or black coffee. There was also yogurt and pudding and a little fresh fruit. I only ate breakfast there, so I do not know how good the food is a lunch or dinner.
